I don’t believe that is a die crack. Thiss lines are caused by mechanical coin rollers when they crimp the end of the roll. Likely not Mint damage but PmD. on the other hand the irregularity of the line and the raised nature of it does seem to be a crack fill. I would have looked at closely by a numismatist.

It is a nice coin, but common, sometimes replated. I bought three, p,s, and d graded for less than it would have cost to get one graded. You can purchase an ms66 version for $35. this is one of mine in a less than ms66 grade. Plus an eBay ad.

Sorry the OP should have included a picture of the obverse of the 46 then. my bad.

Finishing Up the Quarter collection!
Mr.Bill347 replied to Mr.Bill347's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Funny that you would mention that. I got two rolls of white pressure wrapped quarters today. SURPRISE! 80 Eighty 2021 Tuskeegee Airmen ATB Quarters. They are already on EBAY for $16 for each 40 plus SH.That's where the picture came from. I'll try the bank again soon. I did that last week and found several silver quarters. -
Sir, According to my Aging eyes, and the miracle of computer zoom, it sure looks like a 1946 D coin to me and hence NOT an error which is a good thing for you!.

Attractive 1914 Japan One Yen
Mr.Bill347 replied to Tobias J Reily's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
IMHO, it looks to me like it could score that. Here is an example of an MS63 valued at $650, so IMO,it would be worth it to grade. Good luck. -
Counterfeit silver dollar coins in Philippines

Check the weight and diameter first. Thus is usual of a tell. Then post some good clear pictures of some of them for everyone to see. You’ll get a quick opinion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan_dollar -

To Grade or not to Grade
Mr.Bill347 replied to pancakez1981's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
QA, if you don’t mind me using that, (I can’t type Latin). Funny story, I sent five coins to grading, one just for snicks. It was a 2000p Sacagawea first day cover that I had for 21 years complete with postage stamps etc. NGC charged me , posted the status as graded and shipped, but no grade? So I opened the package, and it came back to me just as I sent it. after contacting support a couple times about it, NGC agreed to ship it back at their expense, two day air, and indicated they should have slabbed it and instructed me how to resubmit with detailed instructions. I haven’t seen it show up in submission, but assume since they agreed to slab it, that they will. At the end, I will have a pretty worthless MS. But it will be the only one I have. I’ll post when I finally get it back. -
To Grade or not to Grade
Mr.Bill347 replied to pancakez1981's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Sometimes you just want one for the novelty, take the roll to the bank and then buy a graded one and save money in the process. For instance, I just bought a 1979 S proof Dcam pr69 Susan B Anthony NGC for $19. Why? I didn’t have one! -

Lincoln cent 1909 S vdb question
Mr.Bill347 replied to cactus5356's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
I used my iPhone with zoom up till the frame was filled and then raised the camera up until focused. Does your camera have a Macro setting for close ups? Sometimes it is a flower symbol. -
Lincoln cent 1909 S vdb question
Mr.Bill347 replied to cactus5356's topic in Newbie Coin Collecting Questions
Cactus5256, No one is griping at you, just suggesting you help us all out by sending better pictures of both sides of your coin and asking clear questions about what you want to know. The members here are extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I have been posting for just over two months and trying to improve with each post. A couple examples of cropped and enlarged of a 1960 D penny. -
It was what the seller was saying in his ebay ad. Rare 1776-1976 D Circulated Bicentennial Quarter~Completely Filled “D”& Doubling I didn't pay much for it, so its no big deal but I think he was referring to the IN GOD WE TRUST looking like slight doubling. I see an coin ejector scratch (I think that is what it is called.)

Yes. Thanks, I knew that, but even at that, I just don’t see that many with nice steps.
