  1. I definately agree on the old silvers, recently bought most of the 50s proof sets, and I already had the entire graded 1947 set (my birth year.) yeah I’m that old! Lol 😆
  2. I would think that if it would have deserved that, it would have received that designation. I once sent in a Crusty old 1877 Morgan it came back s AU 55 Vam 2 1877/6 top 100. that happened all in its own.
  3. Greg Emailing pictures, can reduce pixels when using things like Hotmail, Gmail etc. there is a setting for emailing pictures that control that, small, medium ,large, and actual full resolution.. I have my phone set to full resolution. here are some tips. https://mrdif.com/how-to-send-photos-in-the-highest-resolution-on-iphone/ if you are using Gmail, like me, read this https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-reduce-photo-sizes-on-gmail Not that I haven’t struggled, I’m trying to figure out the best way to use my powerful Nikon to get 15 megapixel images, but so far, the iPhone is easier and better. Hope this helps Bill
  4. Greg, I found these on FeeBay. Not as nice as yours though. Bill
  5. B.Stenis, I am assuming you added the coin to your registry, If so, add it to a competitive set, then select History. This will only provide the date from the registry not the grading date.
  6. JP, I doubt that, I would take a long time to get close to your collection. I still want the early ones from 1952-1955 but they really get pricey. If you see some of those and your local antique store, pick them up for me!
  7. Mohawk, actually I have a proof loonie coming. The Toonie is “proof like” but not a proof. I’m thrilled to get 57,58,59,60,63 P proof sets, quite a good deal I got on the five also have a 68, 72,74,76,79, 83, 2012, and 2021 proof sets.
  8. Changing up again. I got my Canadian Toonie dollar and US proof sets for 1958,1959,1960,1963, 1966 and a mint set P/D 1979. These old silvers are really nice.
  9. No because those focus errors show on the Nikon due to unparalleled camera. The iPhone shots have to be handheld that’s why I don’t like using it for that.
  10. Thanks RWB I was not able to get the camera paralleled due to using a Tripod next to my desk. The camera is new so it is operator error. The color changing was due to experimenting with a photo editor. The last ones of the WCD quarter were only cropped. Simple collector, you mention a copy stand. What is that and where would I find one? coinbuf regarding the iPhone white balance, I’m not sure how to do that with the iPhone. thanks guys!
  11. How about these Two. 2021 WCD quarter first wo NIKON D5600, last two Iphone SE
  12. The folliwing photos were taken with a 15megapixel Nikon D5600 with a Macro lens from about 5 inches away. The last two taken with my Iphone SE I've really been working hard trying to find the correct setup so I can photograph my collection for documentation. Please let me know if I am on the right track. Thank You Bill
  13. James that is because everybody suckered up the first time. It did sell out quickly again. My Morgan Cc , while it was pretty fair looking, it was out of its capsule because of the clamshell being too open. Not for me this time. I expect them to figure out how to improve the dies enough to make proofs and do it all over again.
  14. Yep as some have stated before on this forum. It was all part of the scam….oops plan! Limit quantities, sell through wait a while a do it a over again. Did the notice indicate if this was another “pay before they are made plan”? If the slippage in quality is any example, I sure won’t be in line to buy more overpriced junk. I’m changing gears now to the 50s proof sets. REAL coins produced by the real mint, not the Cracker Jack factory it has become. JMHO
  15. Keith I would certainly consider these as they are all NGC ms63 coins. Being. Ms63 s , I would feel more confident buying these than anything on EBay. I’m surprised that they didn’t at least put them in an NGC box. There are fakes and scrubbers out there Especially Morgan’s. If you can get them to give you some serial numbers , than you could verify them. You don’t need all of them. I verified the $33,000 CC as being NGC ms61 with an NGC price guide of $30,000 so now I feel more confident about the rest of them . A hundred bucks a coin for MS63 NGC slabs is right on in my opinion.
  16. Great to hear you are ok Hoghead! My prayers to the entire affected area !
  17. Is this a concern ? Number verified as indicated. Price is pretty good. What do you guys think about it?
  18. Regarding ASE, Morgan s , Peace, I’m kinds burning out on them . Why? ridiculous and ludicrous production levels set, inflated prices plus shipping, the whole buy before they are made thing, then the cost and wait time to get them graded. Yes, I was fortunate to get both 2021 ASEs and the 2021 Morgan and the 2021 Peace dollars, but this was an intention effort on My part. Now that I’m sitting around waiting (for 1 month) already, for the coins to get graded and returned, I believe I’m done with them . The poor quality, cheaper capsules, the mint web circus and other relative things have cost me and taught me a lesson. It is far more rewarding to find other silver bullion coins from other countries that are very satisfactory with out all the hassles. Examples two Canadian 1 oz silver dollars 1960, 63 for a lot less than the ole mint. I may get one later in the year as a graded after market coin. But that’s it. That’s my viewpoint. By silver walkers or pre 1964 Benjamin’s fir bullion value. Don’t get hung up on the “popular” new stuff. It’s a very good marketing program that we all need to step back from and ask ourselves if this is really worth it. JMHO
  19. Got the set, nice looking and not expensive DB metals as James Zykowski suggested. Thank you.
