  1. Are you saying that’s not a flattering portrait of Eunice?
  2. Agreed. Way more fun to put your own set together.
  3. Looking good so far. Wish you the best of luck my friend.
  4. 1945 P & S are the tough ones in FS. PCGS may be a little easier since there are probably more to chose from. Which ones do you still need?
  5. Another nice one J.P. I have several with that all over golden tone. Your War Nickel set is growing nicely.
  6. I’m not quite sold on the whole crypto thing. I think with the way cybercrime is right now, it opens up the possibility to lose all of your money. I know that bank accounts can be hacked now, but ALL of my money is not in my bank account. Not to mention that technology doesn't always work. Imagine that you are trying to pay for your cheeseburger and your digital wallet or whatever doesn’t work, or there are problems on the other end. You don’t have to worry about your cash not working or having a glitch that won’t let you use it. Maybe I am behind the times, but I like hard assets. It has worked for a long time.
  7. A good place to start is to look at the rims of the coin. The rim will be a little thicker and there should be no slope where the rim and the field of the coin meet. Should be a sharp angle and flat. To me it looks like I can see that rounding on this coin which makes me think not a proof. I’m sure the real Lincoln cent guys will chime in anytime. Still a nice looking coin.
  8. I got my set yesterday. I agree they are pretty shiny. The Philly set had some small spots and scratches here and there. The Denver set was the better looking of the two.
  9. I guess I shouldn’t say it won’t upload because it does, but the only way you can see the new image is to actually hit the “view image” button. The images on the coin page and the set page will remain as the old image and takes a day or 2 to change. Not the end of the world, but it only took seconds before. Just something I have noticed lately.
  10. Agreed. The registry side isn’t much better. It takes a few days for pictures to upload.
  11. This is the first time I have really looked. Doing a quick ebay search, it seems the CC is commanding the premium like gmarguli said.
  12. I’m curious to see if any of the Morgans will end up commanding more of a premium over the others when sold individually. I know the mintages are the same for each one (I think), but will there be one that doesn’t grade well or has more of a demand over others. I know the Peace $ is a little different story being the only one issued.
  13. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1943-2-P-5c-PCGS-MS63-Scarce-Overdate-War-Nickel-Jefferson-Nickel-/203603407040?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
  14. They seem to get snapped up quick in the higher grades. I was lucky to get the MS65 I have.
  15. That would definitely be the way to go if you can pull it off. I have only seen a few for sale since I have been looking. There was a MS66 for sale on ebay for around $900 but it is already gone.
  16. They actually do have a War Nickel with varieties set. Good luck finding a cheap 43/2 @J P Mashoke. Even the lower grades aren’t very cheap.
  17. Yea I figured when it was all said and done it would be around $500 per coin.
  18. I just got the email for this set. Is $500 going to be the standard price for these? Will be interesting to see how the frenzy pans out.
  19. There are no coin shops around here so mainly scouring the net. I have a good network of trusted ebay dealers that I buy from. I do pretty good most of the time, but I have bought some garbage too.
  20. Thanks. They are both raw. Just got them in hand yesterday. I just now noticed the fingerprint.
