  1. Welcome to the NGC boards @Gam3rBlake Beautiful coins.
  2. Not usually a commemorative guy but this caught my eye and wouldn’t let go.
  3. Low of 24* here later tonight. 35* and windy right now.
  4. The same goes for proof Jefferson nickels and Franklin halves. The FS (full steps) and FBL (full bell lines) designations are not used. These details are assumed to be present on proofs.
  5. You are correct. Proofs are assumed to have full bands. The full band designation is not used on proofs. Nice coin by the way.
  6. I think ebay gets a lot of unnecessary bad publicity. There are many great sellers on there. I used to be a seller years ago. Not coins, but other collectables. I have bought enough coins to where I have a group of trusted sellers I deal with regularly, and sometimes being a repeat customer has its perks. Yes there are some shady characters on there that you have to watch out for. That is where you have to become a conscious buyer. You have to do a little digging on your seller. Read feedback, and don’t let negative feedback drive you away until you see why the negative feedback was left. A lot of buyers will jump the gun and leave a neg without it being warranted. Recognize red flags. If you see a seller with 0 feedback and trying to sell something for thousands of dollars…well thats a red flag to me. I agree stock photos are not my favorite. Maybe if I were buying a toaster, I wouldn’t care, but I want to see the exact coin I am buying. I look for sellers that put some effort in their listings. Good photos and a description will go a long way. I think most of the sellers on ebay are legitimately good people and there are always the few bad apples that make it harder for those that are honest. There is always the possibility to get burned, but that can happen in any aspect of life. Bottom line is to know what you are buying and who you are buying it from.
  7. Thanks Mike. Got a batch of new images from Joe. Been playing around with them a little.
  8. If I had that money, I would probably just buy more nickels…and a Ferrari.
  9. I agree about the packaging. I have some of the mint storage boxes that hold the proof sets that I have been keeping these in. Now I won’t have to keep finding room for the individual reverse proof coins. The price is a lot better now as a set too and I’m ok with that. I just hope they don’t get too crazy with the prices in the future. They are cool coins but they are what they are. I hope they will stay relatively cheap. 2032 is a long way away. There is potential for some Mint shenanigans.
  10. I got in at the beginning and will continue with the series. They don’t get a lot of love but I like them. I will admit I like the regular proofs better usually. With the reverse proofs, the design gets a little washed out. The designs really pop on the proofs though. The telephone coin is my favorite so far.
  11. I’m on enrollment to get these. Just got my order confirmation the other day. I assume it saves them a lot of money putting them all together in one set. Less packaging. Seems like they are doing that to a lot of things these days.
  12. Thank you. One of the cleanest coins in my collection and the most hammered strike of all my walkers.
