  1. I think that movie is called " The Firm" pretty good movie. Better look over your shoulder professor if you try to jump ship. Lol.
  2. Im gonna try to get the Mayflower set on down the road sometime if they don't get ridiculously expensive.
  3. I didn't get to buy one the Mayflower ones. I was broke. By time I got paid that Friday they was sold out. Im hoping one of these days I may find one on Ebay or something if they don't have a completely ridiculous price on it. I just hope they don't all rainbow tone or nothing before then. Lol. They will try to charge 10,000 dollars for them. Lol.
  4. Heres what I done with mine. I got a box to put the ASE and medal together with the COA. I also put my ww2 Lords prayer dogtag in with them. Figured it be pretty cool to keep it with them. I sealed it up in a coinflip. I found it metal detecting. Id love to get it professionally cleaned one of these days. Im afraid to do it myself. Cant wait to get the medal back so I can put it in its slot. If your wondering why the coin looks cloudy ,I've got it in one those protective sleeves that go over slabs.
  5. I was lucky enough to get the silver medal and eagle. The eagle only graded a 69. The medal hasn't been scheduled for grading yet. Thats awsome you got one with the signature. I was hoping for one so bad. But from what I've heard I got lucky to just get the coin and medal. I guess several tried and are empty handed. So I'm very grateful to the good Lord above. Hes been good to me.
  6. I don't blame you by keeping it. I would also. To bad they won't encapsulate it with your medal. You will have to get a special case to put them both in.
  7. Thats awesome my friend. I wasn't lucky enough to get one myself.
  8. Speaking of toned coins. I bought a 62 proof set that had never been opened. I had to rip the envelope to get it open. The nickle in it is the most beautiful light blue color I've seen. Im very happy I got this set. Also the Franklin is a beautiful light pink color. Im gonna send them in and have them slabbed. Only thing with the Franklin is it has a blue spot on the reverse that don't look like toning. I get home this evening ill start a thread on it. Maybe some of you can talk me out of sending it in, hopefully, cause I can't control myself sometimes. Both them little guys that sit on your shoulders are telling me to have it graded.
  9. On the security part of it. Did they search them everyday after quitting time. Also did they make them wear clothes without pockets.
  10. Id say there's been a few fingers suck in them machines over the years. That one video Fenntucky Mike shared with us had that one old boy holding his fingers pretty close to that press.
  11. Thats heart breaking to see. That is one of my most favorite coins ever minted. Just judging by the reverse that would have been a very nice one to. One of these days I'm going to try and get one. Got few others to add to the collection first. Gonna try get a higher grade one if I can afford it down the road.
  12. Beautiful coin. That is a true work of art. I looked at several since first read this thread and they are all very nice and beautiful coins. Hopefully one of these days after I get some of the other sets and coins im working on ill try to aquire some of those.
  13. Luckily I only sent in that one bad coin. It was that contaminated coin I posted while back. It received a grade tho but still ill never be able to sell it to no one knowing it is like that. I wouldn't dare even try. But I've learned by that mistake and by reading about all the mistakes the veterans have confessed to, that I need to double and triple check every coin I send in and make sure its worth it. Also make sure its not cleaned or counterfeit. I got off very easy. And I thank all of you for all the information and stories that will help prevent me from making a very expensive mistake in the future. If it weren't for joining this forum its hard telling what I would have tried to submit. Because I had several I wanted to but realize now they are not worth it.
  14. The only reason I made an Ebay account was to buy coins. Ive bought very few other items. Not very many. But I've spent a whole lot of money on coins the past couple years. Getting closer and closer to time to close my account. If I need anything except coins ill just get it on my wife's Amazon account.
  15. Thats awesome my friend. I didn't get the chance to. I didn't have the money at the time. By time I got paid they was sold out. I did get to get the V75 ww2 medal. NGC has it right now. Im hoping it gets a 70. I hope you all gets 70s on yours. Congratulations on getting them.
  16. I like to never figured out how to go back and edit a post earlier. I got er figured out now.
  17. Yep. Ive bought vechicles like that also. No guarantee on it. May need a little work
  18. I see now. That was a dumb question really wasn't it ? Lol. It showed them dumping them in the furnace right after that. I just didn't put 2 and 2 together. Good thing I'm not in the detective business aint it.
  19. Me too. I thought he was advertising a new Mexican restaurant. Is that those coins they found preserved in that lava rock or whatever it was. I just saw something about it. I didn't get no details on it. I think someone may have been talking about it in another thread I read a few weeks ago.
  20. What were they heating in the first 5 seconds of the video. Im very new to the exact process. First video I've seen.
  21. Nevermind. I just saw this thread is way outdated. I thought it was a recent thread at first. My son was breaking out his notebook.
  22. Now I don't know about not being able to find. Mine never done that. May want to ask this question in the "ask NGC" category and they will help you out
  23. I sent one in while back and it kept that status for over a week. It takes them a while to get them all lined out and graded.
