  1. If you want Nevada don't even worry about sending it back in. Just ship it over here to my house and you won't have to worry about it any more. Thats a nice looking quarter. It would look good in my collection.
  2. Is it just me or just a coincidence. I've been watching all the coins people has been asking about being doubled. It seems to me most of the machine doubling seems to go toward the outside of the coin. Its like it flows outward when the die strikes it. Is this just my imagination or am I kinda guessing right. Thank you for the input.
  3. I've been trying to learn more about it. I've been guessing at coins other people have been putting on here. I've not shared my guesses on here very many times. Sometimes I'm right on with other people's and sometimes I'm way off. Some of the experts will get on here and note all kinds of things on the coins that I way overlook. Its amazing how they have trained theyre eyes to spot certain details. I have been watching those things and trying to watch for them and what adds to the grade and what takes away from. There is way way more to it then I ever imagined since I first started to get into collecting.
  4. Im no grader. Im no expert. I just want to try a crack at it. Im trying to learn. But unless its just the lighting it looks like a small spot of wear on the cheek. Id say either AU 58 or ms 61.
  5. I kinda cheated a little and flipped thru it and looked at some of the pictures. Then I turned back and started at the first.
  6. I am very excited to say I got my brand new autographed copy of From Mine to Mint today. With the CD. Im gonna start reading on it here in a few minutes. Thank you very much Roger.
  7. That sounds right up my alley. They didn't name me hog for nothing.
  8. They don't have any around here close to where I live. I wish they did. I love their coffee.
  9. It be very hard to get that much out of them selling as a set. Most sellers give a little bit of a deal to people buying in bulk. Ive been buying sets cheaper than what I can put them together for. Sometimes quite a bit cheaper. Also there's alot of competition out there for sellers. It be hard to get the full value out of them for what they price for.
  10. I wish I could look at a coin and see that much visionary in it. Those are quite some diagrams and drawings. Looks like 2 octopuses fighting each other in that little slash below the c.
  11. Looks like its layed out in a gravel driveway. There's alot of gravel driveways out in the country where I live. I've picked up many coins thats looked like that over the years.
  12. Not sure what creme de la creme is but it sounds delicious.
  13. Thats what I thought it was also when I saw it.
  14. That is an absolute beauty. They done a great job on those back in the day. Congratulations on getting it. Thanks for sharing it to. Hopefully one of these days im gonna try to get one. I been wanting one ever since I layed eyes on them. They are truly one of the most amazing coins of all time in my opinion.
  15. Lol. I missed that one. Did u send some in with staples in them. Lol. I bet they liked that when they opened them up. I haven't sent any in yet in flips. Im going to after the holidays are over. All the ones I sent in so far has been in government packaging. I was gonna secure my flips with rubber bands till I read this thread. By the way I wanted to get a whole proof set graded. Do you have to crack them out of those cases or can you send them in like that. Only ones I sent is has been the capsule type like the ASEs' come in.
  16. That is awsome. I can't get no 2020 rolls here where I'm at. All the local banks claim they don't have any. I think they just don't want to fool with me. Congratulations on that find. You scored big time.
  17. I believe you myself. But there are people that will forge names so they can sell their coin to someone for thousands. Thats probably why NGC won't slab it. Its a shame the crooks ruin everything for all of us honest people. A person could probably do like you said though. Laminate it and get a nice display case to put them both in. Once again congratulations on it. Im excited for you. So awsome to see people have good things happen for them.
  18. That makes sense. Id say if they would there would be someone out there who commit fraud. Its a shame people like that has spoiled everything for the honest people.
  19. That is very interesting. One day im going to read more about it. Thanks for the info Condor. That will help me in my search when I go to look it up. Seems like we were taught something in history class about the bank holiday in 1933 back in high school. Thats been so long ago I can't remember what it was they were teaching us about it but I remember hearing it. I wish I'd payed more attention back in those days.
  20. They are getting expensive aren't they. Or at least they are around here where I live. Used to be able to get one for 20 to 30 bucks. The last 2 I saw were at flea markets and the sellers had them priced around the 70 dollar range. I never looked around though. They just caught my eye while we was out going to flea markets before covid hit.
  21. It sure looks like one in that picture. It fooled me too. I thought you scored there for a few.
  22. I don't own a computer myself. All I have is this android phone. It is set up perfect for it.
