Ok then. Last one here and several Friends agree that it is a DDR. I have sent photos to Chuck at Copper Coins, but he is busy I suppose, or most likely we just don't care for one another so he isn't going to look at all. I'm sure you guys can't imagine sweet little ole me not getting along with someone, huh? Hahahaha! (Yes, yes. I am currently on the floor wracked with such heartiest of guffaws and yes my backside is coming apart). Anywhooo...there are no DDR's listed for any 1970 Cents, except for the S-Proof, so this is likely nothing at all, but wouldn't it be ever so cool if I had found an as yet unlisted 50 years old DDR, and in such great shape to boot? Sho nuff would be. FRFR. If you would please train your peepers to the left side of the 4th pillar, from the floor to about halfway up said pillar, and let me know what you think then I'd be ever so greatful. (How is that spelled incorrectly? Surely it isn't grateful?) And if it's NOT a DDR, then what do you think it might be, please and thank you. Thanks for putting up with me tonight. I am definitely feeling my oats for some reason. But I do hope I made at least a couple of you smirk a teensy bit.

Here is a 1970S Cent that just has a lot going on on its backside, which says it's likely nothing at all much less a DDR, but there's no harm in asking. If you'd just look at the circled areas that'd be great. Plus it gives us all some study, right. There is no listing. I will have another unlisted DDR coming up.
Thanks!

I just returned from the U.K., and thought I'd share a story about coins from there.
You may know that the U.K. has two denominations that are used heavily for circulating commems, the 50p and the 10p. The Great British Coin Hunt is going on. The 50p has numerous types, such as the Gruffalo, Peter Rabbit, Kew Gardens, etc. The 10p has the British Alphabet. For example, B is for Bond, James Bond; C is for Cricket; U is for the Union Jack. VERY VERY few people even know about these coins being out there. Why? Coin roll hunters are going to banks to hoard them, and take the regular ones back to the bank. Who told me? Royal Mint staff. The prices asked in the secondary market are stupid.
The next time you feel like cussing out the W quarter hoarders, as I do almost every day, remember, incentives create behaviors, and they are fairly universal.
I supposed there are hoarders everywhere.
How come whenever I respond to someone the entire thing is above my reply but when other ppl reply it is either all by itself or they tag a person and only a little piece of the responded to comment is shown? Do you know anything about that VKurt? Or how I can see who reacts to stuff?

That you are, Bob. That you are.
I think my phone was just having a terrible day, for real. Nothing was working properly for a day and so far there are still a few glitches going on. But thanks for taking care of me.

Hey @Just Bob! How were you able to comment on the original thread? Thanks for linking it over.

I love seeing science in action. Good job. Maybe upload your videos to YouTube and post links instead.
Lol! I would have no idea how to even do that, and plus there are already a bunch on there by people much more experienced than I that put on a much better production. But it was neat to do it and see the results that were within range of what i was told they would be.

It keeps saying -200 upload failed.

Hi guys! Idky that original thread wouldn't allow me to respond any more, but here is the answer I finally got about those Perth Mint Isle of Man Aircraft of WWII Coins I have that many of us were discussing whether they were Silver or CuproNickel. Turns out all this time my Son had a larger capacity postage scale that didn't go into overload when a cup of water was set on it, so I was able to try, and master, the Specific Gravity Test. Oooooo...Aaaahhhhh...lol!
And the answer to this long awaited question is....drum roll please...do it...CUPRONICKEL!!!!! And I'm not even upset about it. I am just absolutely thrilled to finally know what the heck they are. Right?!
I even made 8 very short, equalling 9 minutes, videos of the entire process in case y'all think it would be beneficial to post them. Otherwise there's an upload of my results in this thread.
I'm just so darn proud of myself, and if it weren't for you guys right here in this forum id have never even heard of Specific Gravity much less run the tests myself. I really feel like you all have increase my knowledge greatly and for that I thank you from the bottom of my teensy heart.
That last listed one is an old Sternwheel Regatta Token from a festival we used to have here, and I believe my results say it is indeed silver. I never dreamt it would be.

Also, on the Reverse show part of the pictured description of Vertical Misaligned Die Clash by the E in ONE and the C in CENT.
-
Ok. @kbbpll if you look at this screenshot from error-ref on Horizontal Misalignment Die Clash, you can almost see the birdlike feature behind the head. I think.
and @Just Bob, idky it didn't let me tag the other dude. Anyway,i think this may be what Lenny was talking about when he said skipping. It says on error-ref under Multiple Clash that Dies can clash numerous times but multiple collisions will only be apparent when one Die shifts position after each clash. This produces multiple, staggered Clash Marks. So he used Skip instead of Staggered but I think this is what he meant.

Well i am a big spoon because I thought the 1915D was what we wanted. All the same, I have an absolutely gorgeous counterfeited one.
Great find dude! You lucky guy.
-
Bob, I have no more idea what that is any more than than I know what these skips I speak of are. Lol! But given the appearance of this coin I'd have to agree that there is damage of some kind. But alas, I do still LOOVE this Lincoln.
-
Lol! You guys are a barrel of laughs.

FYI, I am still working on this. I did get quite frustrated and had to out them away for a while and today I found that I have a friend that lives kind of close to me that has the gun thing to tell me what they are comprised of. I haven't been able to do the specific gravity due to the weight limit of my scales. So hopefully I'll find out soon and let you all know. Because i am positive that you've all been waiting with baded breath. Right?

What exactly is a Triple Skip Double Die Clash?
Lol! Idk? A friend referred to it as such saying that when the dies hit it was out of sink and so had skipped a little before landing back in its correct position. That's all I know is what I was told. All hearsay. Lol! Glad you aren't mad at me.

@kbbpll thanks dude. I thought the blisters were cool on this one. I never thought I'd say cool and blisters in the same sentence before, but there it is.
@Zach G one of the 'experts' on FB also said he could see the Y. Be darned if I can. I guess I'll look harder.
Still a darned cool coin whatever is going on with it.

@kbbpll @Greenstang @Dukemnm I am at a loss on several spots. Behind and in front of the head there would appear to a broken line as is illustrated further as #1 and seems to connect to the bird looking thing behind and a slanted line towards WE in front. At #2 you'll see where I'm talking about the Die Skipping, whether 2 or 3x I'm not sure. #5 is something else really weird as well as #3. #5 I'm honestly not even sure why I made a circle. Lol ! And the #'s 6 and 7 appear to intersect at mid chest as 6 would seemingly go all the way across from the 9 to south of the E in LIBERTY. I have no clue why that extra stuff is there or what they may represent, but are obviously part of whatever is going on to the entire coin, something other than some kind of super Clash. Idk, maybe somebody's broach got in there? I am grasping at straws, I know, but that's how we figure stuff out at the end of the day. Right? Any ideas that have crossed your minds I'd be more than happy to entertain.

This is the last of them. Shew! Didn't take as long as it could have though. I am thankful for that.
Oh! I found this baby Thanksgiving Eve in the Give a Penny, Take a Penny at my local GoMart convenience store. He is the brightest Red too. Beautiful coin for sure. So what's it worth guys? Be honest. Ball park guess?
