  1. Idk? Appears to be Off Center to me. Although very minute on the Reverse is still wider in the NE than it is SW. Remember, a MAD involves one side or the other while an OC involves both sides.

Sometimes people will pay a premium for a greasy die coin resulting in the loss of characters. People actually collect them. Should totally at least hold onto it. There were some State Quarters with In God We Rust that were pretty pricey.

  2. Well, just to get my 2Cents worth in on this thread....let me just present a FB post by the mighty Ken Potter, whom I do hold in high esteem. I did not look this one up but being a WV gal I couldn't forget seeing it in his Group, and he does offer an explanation as to how it happened. Idk that it pertains to this particular IHC but it does show that numbers and so I'm sure also letters can just be floating around in the air somewhere.

  3. Well, back to my 1958D....what say y'all about this WRPM-040. Of course you'd think he'd know his own attributed varieties. Some of my other guys, (yes I know, but you guys are my favs) say it is but I wonder about the placement relative to the 5. One guy did make a real nice GIF of mine moving in and melding with the example on Brian's Variety Shop.

Also @DWLange, what would you call the Olive's on the 2012 Dime and the Thorns on the CT Quarter. Idk a whole about DD's, but am quite familiar with MD, lol, I can't see them as MD especially the Quarter because there are no other thorn looking things anywhere to be doubled of.  Thanks Sir.

  4. @kbbpll I kinda get the whole discovery thing not being worth it, to an extent. Like my 2019 Nickel DDR-003. Gosh do y'all remember how excited I was? I sure do, am smiling now thinking about it, bug nobody wanted it and nobody really cared except me. Not that you guys didn't cheer me on and lift me up because you did. You allowed me my moment and I am forever grateful for having had it. But at the end of the day and my excitement I thought it would be a special Coin and it's just not. But I still got my name on the website listing and I like that. But with pennies I think it's different, maybe. Everybody wants the Lincoln Cents. So I figure if I had a discovery of a 62 year old Lincoln that might be more special than that new Nickel. See? Or I could be wrong and likely am. Either way I'm sending it to VV next month and see what they say.

Also, yes, if you have a discovery Coin with a letter you can send it to ANACS and get a Discovery Slab, for what all good it would do a person.

@bsshog40 thanks a bunch. I think it will be cool also. And I also think it's gonna be 1958D RPM-024.

@Just Bob Thanks for your kind words. They always mean the world to me.

  5. @Kirt @JKK @kenlee47@kbbpll @Greenstang

I am very happy about this. I may have said some things that made him feel bad but I went and looked and while I wasn't the most respectful, I wasn't a meanie either. I just deleted like 30 messages from him in my gmail! Gawd only knows how many more comments he made on my posts. So I did report him to an admin. Maybe it worked for a minute? We shall see. I am just glad that we can now make posts and comment on others posts without the needless interference OOHRAH!!!

    Everybody take a deep breath...

Of the coins illustrated in this thread, the only one that appears to be a real variety is the 1958-D cent. It is a very minor RPM, one that oddly does not appear at the VarietyVista website:

    http://www.varietyvista.com/02a LC RPMs Vol 1/RPMs 1958D.htm

Though slightly interesting, it is too minor for NGC to attribute.

Thanks David. So nit only damaged then. While NGC wouldn't attribute it, do you think it'd be worth sending to Variety Vista.

  7. @kbbpll I wasn't referring to you hijacking. If you look at any thread with more than 5 or 6 comments chances are 80% of them are random shots at NGC thrown by the weirdo one. ( Somehow I'm sure to regret that). Comments that have nothing to do with the original posters question and due to that are very few if any relevant responders to the question asked. I've been here for 2 or 3 years now and never seen anything like it. It is quite disturbing and will very likely drive true Collectors away if it doesn't stop.

  8. @Greg BradfordBradford I did report to the Admins earlier due to the personal and unwarranted attack on myself as well as the hijacking of many others postings. This guy has at least 3 separate identities here. Idk what results my message to the admin will get, but my fingers are crossed.

Btw, I never ever represented myself as an employee of NGC or anything more than the Newbie I am.  Nor did I ever use the phrase 'your kind' or anything close to it in this forum or anywhere in any chat room. I think the guy or gal has become confused due to their own ramblings.

    Thanks for your input, Sir.

  9. Hey guys. I know many of you don't like errors and don't deal with them much, but I still have a question that I hope you can give me input on. The last 3 coins I've sent in for attribution have been denied. 1 Dime which the Olives on were weird, and I almost accept that denial. 1 CT Quarter with some very weird thorn looking things within the branches that I didn't think would be a DDR but definitely do jot believe they are MD as they match nothing to be a double of. And today was my 1958 D Cent which over 100 FB Groupies agreed it was an RPM, he said was damage. Yes, there is damage, and the is also an obvious twist and notch. So if y'all could take a look and give your opinions that'd be awesome because there are quite a few people saying I should send the Cent Coin to another company and the other 2 I just gave up on. Thanks! -Karen

PS, if anyone wants to see a close up of an area just let me know, please. And the one Dime is here by mistake and I can't make it be-gone

  10. Ok. I suppose I somehow failed to offer photos. Lol! Probably because I hadn't taken any yet.  I have now.

I guess the norm is 10% on most coins? So my 1907 IHC at 3.30 is well within the given parameters. Oh well. I just liked the Coin and bought it. I am happy with it.

Yeah! So here are my photos taken just for y'all. So what do you think?!
