  1. Welcome and hello. I collect US currency preferably the old time large notes. The holders Ray, USMC recommended are first class for submitting notes and will help while in transit. I submit to PMG, a partner of our host NGC. Paper Money Grading - Paper Money Guaranty | PMG (pmgnotes.com). They do an excellent job on grading your currency and are preferred by most collectors. Anything else - just ask.
  2. I sent 3 CC $20.00 Gold to them and every time I was more than happy with the final results.
  3. I'll just post one of the CW tokens/coins I have: NGC MS65
  4. Agreed. People often think the saying: "You can't fight city hall." is a joke. I spent 11+ years fighting the VA all the way to the high courts in Washington, DC. I didn't win even though I, and the lawyers, thought I was right.
  5. Darn sure was but it didn't have to face the problems we are having today. An increase of population using the mail services, Covid infecting USPS, UPS, FedEx, et al employees, etc. As I can remember things went a lot smoother in the past. Maybe it was just luck.
  6. I'm not a fan of that designation being old and from a time long past. I collect Carson City coins and have only one PL that's an 1865 CC Morgan MS65 PL VAM 6. Bought it because I couldn't find one at the time.
  7. Excellent historical read, thanks. Certainly was a lot of government hoopla over some $20.00 coins.
  8. The Chinese have expanded their coin industry to include very modern coins, medals, commens, etc. Producing forgeries of all goods is a lucrative business in China and Eastern Europe.
  9. Bout the same but some time ago it was dog eat dog. I think the last one was relatively calm.
  10. For years I have read the CAC thread posted ATS and wondered when it would get here. In comparison this has been a well mannered thread and a very educational read.
  11. I have been a member, off and on, since Sleepy Hollow began. I also consider myself a keeper of past postings. Therefore, I demand to be 'monitored'.
  12. I have foundc over the year that I get better deals with this system: PCGS for Silver and NGC for Gold. Only my preference and opinion folks.
  13. Agreed. At least with me. I usually buy on 'eye appeal'. I like beautiful coins; or maybe 'pretty' would be a better name.
  14. You got the coins and it's you who has to decide rocket23. I would pick the ones I value the most. Not what you or anybody else tells me but what I value the most. Hope this helps and good luck to you.
  15. Trains crossing bridge over lake or very big river with what appears to be mountains in the background being reflected in the lake/river.
  16. A very interesting piece of numismatic history. Thanks for posting it.
  17. 10 this morning here in Downtown Lock Haven and looking for another 10 tomorrow. One day of 70 would be so nice. Glad you found Paradise.
