But red is a ridiculously bad background for getting accurate coin colors
And especially if it's twins keep showing up. Comprendes amigo?

this happened to my daughter about 15 years ago at PNC bank .
Understood now. I still have my Alaskan account at Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union. Real nice people and helpful. However, I was in WalMart some months ago and use an ATM then went up to a Bank Teller and asked for some quarters. "Are you a customer?" "Ah, no miss I am not." "Sorry, can't help you." In a tone cold as ice.

! luckily I had an account with them to get it all sorted out …
Would have been me the minute they paid my daughter is the minute I would have closed my account and banked else where. That isn't the most stupid thing I've heard lately but it is close.
PS: I shouldn't be surprised. Not just banks but a lot of places have developed a bad case of 'rudeness' since this Covid thing.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but I swear I've seen that background some where before. Do all them sell phones use the same backing?

It is a 1851 no MM
Right, I got that. Maybe it was just use or tired old eyes. Hard to tell these days.
Now I don't Grade coins and wholly object to people who do it by internet pictures. That said I'd agree Jason and say Extra Fine. That Reverse is very nice for a 170 year old coin. Good luck with it. Me, and folks would say "he's crazy" but I would spend a couple bucks and ask NGC to have a look at it and check the Variety Attributes. Never know - you might get lucky.

Look it up on auctionzip.com.
Will do. Haven't been down that way in some years. BTW: If you ever need anything from PA just pm and I'll have in the mail ASAP.

Appears to be in an old TPG holder. Maybe yeas or maybe no? Gold, on Kitco, has been averaging $1800.00 + or - per ounce. Now your coin is an antique and an 1851 O - Quarter Eagle PCGS AU55 asking price is $1100.00.
Your coin appears to me to have something going on with the date. Some variety? or just wear. Compare to the AU 55 below. Nice coin. Gold is always nice even old and worn gold.

Woods020 has words for all to listen to. It just isn't easy. I find it difficult when a so called 'Newbie' comes here and posts a comment with a picture of their 'obvious' parking lot find and in the first sentence tells us how baad NGC is and why don't we help new comers. I counted over sixty 'Newbies' in the past month. People who have posted once an don't come back. I thought maybe Sleepy Hollow had just come alive and this Covid thing got people logging on. I post ATS and didn't see this sort of influx until just lately. Here's a comment from one of the folks ATS:

have you tried IPA
Probably but I got on this Mirror Pond Ale through some friends of mine in Alaska. Real hard corps beer drinkers. They made their own (ugh!). Then they started making some kind of Alaskan Shine. I wouldn't drink it cause I was afraid I'd go blind.

Iron city beer used to be okay back Then up until the late 90’s
I never did drink Iron City at all. I was a Genessee Beer man. It was a product out of Rochester, NY and sure was good. I like their 12 Horse Ale but something happened and they were out of business for a while. When it came back it wasn't the same. Now it's Mirror Pond Pale Ale out of the Deschutes Brewery in Oregon. Not bad stuff.

One way would be to stop responding to argumentative ignoramuses once they have been told that their parking lot coin or their Jesus-shaped mint mark is PMD, gotten mad, been ridiculed, and then decided that they'll now have the only fun they are going to have here by trolling.

There's no shortage of coin here in Central Pennsylvania; I get my 4 rolls of quarters every week and no complaint other than "need any more?"

Thanks for the info. Been a few blurbs on the news lately about the airlines.

I am amazed that the United States Mint, et al, have taken a one ounce round of bullion and made it in to a collector's item. Then they place the majestic Label on it and up goes the price again. Ah those 'First Strike', 'Signature', etc. etc.

Pretty bullion, sold at huge markup.
Yes, and if folks watched the videos on how they make this stuff they would think twice about buying it.

something about coins in old old slabs I rather have them than a newer slabbed coin that’s just me
Three months ago I bought a 1921 Morgan Dollar - PCGS MS 64 - 3rd generation holder for $89.00. I felt lucky to have got it at that price. But, that's the last I've seen. Everything now is going up and up.

All the Markets, from coins to used cars, are heating up. I believe it's inflation but I'm no expert on Economics. I'm just hoping things calm down so I can get to buying again.

Did you know that in Alaska one is selected for jury duty based on the size of his/her rifle barrel? Small bores for Misdemeanors and larger bores for Felonies. It's alfully hard to get juries for Misdemeanor trials.![:roflmao: :roflmao:](//content.invisioncic.com/r266626/emoticons/roflmao.gif.6d9a0880c7793cf602e127eb464ca42a.gif)
