  1. I looked into buying some for my nephew. Looked at Greek and Roman and all the prices were very high. Good luck.
  2. I bought 3 ICG Slabbed CC Trade Dollars. Two were MS 63 and one was an AU 58. Off to NGC and they came back 1 MS and 1 AU = CLEANED and 1 MS an AU 55. Cracked out the two CLEANED ones and sent to PCGS for a 2nd opinion. Both came back CLEANED. With ICG you pays your money and you takes your chances.
  3. That makes two of us. Nothing can beat an original Carson City. 1880 MS 65 PL VAM 6 8 over Low 7
  4. Okay. Choose what ever you think works for you. If I were still buying and selling I would subscribe again. Just a matter of personal choice; that's all. Greysheet Coin and Currency Pricing for Dealers and Collectors - Greensheet - CPG - CAC
  5. Just for further information the Price Guides of the TPGs, all of them, are so far out of date most of us don't pay any attention to them. The Gray Sheet for Dealers is good if you want to spend money; if not watch what is going on at EBay. Good luck.
  6. Why would I want a 'so called' Morgan Dollar, minted in God knows where, with a 'Privy' CC mark on it when I can have a REAL Carson City coin? Love that term "Privy". In Pennsylvania that has a different meaning.
  7. There are some who wouldn't accept that if you stood over their shoulder and instructed them. Then there are those who just don't care. (The 'More Money Than Brains Crowd')
  8. Actually I think you are correct. You can change the name but you cannot change the style.

Others say he is being anonymous and posting under now Rubicon posts as Detector Kay who posted as Patelnumis who posted as Rocky100 who posted as Robylu52 or maybe ……Elaqnore8 "Where, oh where, are you tonight? Why did you leave us here all alone? We searched the web over and thought we found your real Error, But you found another Forum, and -- You was gone."
  10. 2021 Morgan Silver Dollar Carson City "CC" Privy Mark-"PreSale"-Confirmed Order $549.95 EBay Best I could find on the Bay of E
  11. "There's a sucker born every minute" a phrase closely associated with P. T. Barnum, an American showman of the mid-19th century
  12. Only with those who cannot afford the 'Real Deal'.
  13. Rumor has it he only likes NGC Certified 'Rebel Gold'. Brass doesn't interest him.
  14. The4 problem these days with bullion is: 1. You must buy 'High' and 2. You must sell 'Low'. Dealers will not give you any breaks; it's in their nature. Good luck and I would hold on to the Gold as long as is possible for you.
  15. You now know ASE's, they are called on Coin Forums, People have taken to collecting bullion coins and the TPGs were more than happy to evaluate and encapsulate these bullion coins. I have purchased, and saved 'bullion' but dot not collect it nor do I have it graded. I 'flip' it. Good luck OP on your future endeavors.
  16. I agree 100% with Rummy13 but I will always applaud and support a collector. The problem being, and pay attention to VKurtB, who gives a clear look at the US Mint in Philadelphia who is selling Class B ASEs to collectors at Class A prices. Do not be surprised if, after a few years, your encapsulated (NGC, PCGS) ASEs developed spots. It seems this is the 'nature of the beast'. Good luck but I would just hold them in their original packing.
  17. Exactly. Maybe Walter will tell us which a dealer will pay more for; 1 Ounce American Silver Eagle or an Englehard 1 Ounce Silver Round? The dealer treats them both the same. A dealer pays the lowest possible price he/she can buy at and sells at the highest possible price.
  18. That's quite okay. That describes exactly what I meant. I could complain to the high heavens about Bullion dealers but I've bought and if the price of Gold went lower I'd buy again. And I'me not particular; I'll buy Coin type or Ingot type. I have some Englehard 5 ounce bars that date back to the 70's that I believe (don't remember exactly) cost me about $14.00 per ounce. But Gold Bullion is my passion. Coins, bars, nuggets whatever I'm a sucker for it. Would love to see Gold, ah and Silver, go way down so I could buy again. Unless we hold on to our Bullion until such times as there's a real jump in the market we will never get the dealers to pay us a good price. Seems they all want to become millionaires. Well, what about us? Can't we "wet our beaks" a little too? PS: Chek out the Coin Marketplace.
  19. I think, but ain't sure, there a few world wide private mints that produce silver rounds and then stamp them One Something from these small, unheard of, island nations. Anything for a sale.
