You have the common large date of which millions were minted.   Search for a small date if you like, so far there have only been two found after 40 years, you have better odds of winning the lottery than finding a SD.

Coinbuf reacted to Jason Abshier in CACG has arrived. Loudly knocking. Will NGC and PCGS answer the door? Do you think NGC and PCGS will counter CACG and their "premium certification" services with their own new services or certifications?
Thanks goodness they did not dabble into world coin sectors … they were talking about it once but plan must of gotten scrapped probably due to large spread in world graded coinage lack of population reports and so on …. We are living in the days where coin grades over lap so much nobody cares unless they can get a higher grade that worth more $$$… so it’s safe to say all everyone cares about is flipping coins for more money ? But not the true to heart collecting ?   but “hey ! Theres a new grading company let’s promote them and spend our hard earn money and jack the prices up!!!” …. Welcome to Market grading !!!! Driven by dealers and graders and buyers who take the biggest hit spending their hard earned cash

Apples and oranges, gold has been in a very tight range for quite some time, so this is a rapid move relative to how it has acted recently.   Trying to compare that to highly volatile assets like bitcoin is a false comparison.
I disagree, too many retail buyers are having trouble just putting food on the table and paying the rent to load up on gold at these price levels.   In the past you have sought to use Chinese citizens as the source of the impetus for a $3,000 target.   Data shows that that segment has cooled due to the price runup, that only leaves central bank buying as the logical source of the spirited buying.   I did not say that every central bank was in a buying frenzy, but it really only takes a handful (which is what we have now) to see the current spike.

I will be surprised if any update is ever reported.   Not that one is really needed, the reply to his request on the ask NGC section tells us all we really need to know.

When I correctly explained about 1943 cents, I was laughed at, told that he had been studying coins for a month, and told me that "you much not know much".  I've only been studying coins for 55 years so what do I know.  I'm waiting for the results from NGC on the 1943, but maybe they "much not know much" as well.

To echo above all your coins are large date coins worth face value only.   I do not know who or perhaps where you read that checking your 1982 coins was a good idea, but as greenstang said you have a better chance of winning the lottery than of ever finding an 82-D small date.   I'm not trying to discourage you from looking, please do so, just don't get your hopes up that you'll be retiring soon.

Wow you were really close on this one, stellar grading on your part.   In your little love note you sent to me earlier you said you "pay attention to the fine details that most newer collectors will miss".   I guess it's the big details, like circulation wear vs uncirculated that you miss.

Or how about I start investing in metals instead? cause coin collecting apparently isn’t even close to being lucrative… it’s ludicrous. Have fun looking at a whole lot of nothing for the remainder of your life. Hello gold and silver.

I want to agree with your statement, but I can’t. A few years ago a prominent and well known gold prospector’s shop was robbed in Helena.  His gold nugget collection was amazing.  I’ve supported him as much as I could before and after the robbery. Some of his collection has been recovered and returned. Bottom line-it happens everywhere and happens too much.

Sorry you feel that way … wait ! Nah I’m not ….. countless people chimed in on this topic , yet you still have doubts about useful information we gave you on here … you’re not following through with the hobby you want to strike it rich $$$ with some odd end coin that you do not have !!! Some of guys who chimed in on this topic been collecting longer than I have before my mother and father ever thought of having me ….. they studied this series they strictly told you do NOT have what you think you have …. Then you tell us about “3 dealers” you went to see they confirmed it as well …. Nah! that’s a B.S story we smelt miles and miles away we don’t believe that we aren’t that Naive !!!! I’ll stand behind some of long time collectors on here and their judgment
am I testing the waters  no I don’t find anything funny , more of pity when someone just don’t want take useful resources and advice on here …They rather mock our hobby and the collectors on like we don’t know anything or we are naive about the advice we give on here to a newbie… stubborn people on here are met with criticism sometimes … that goes on every at coin forum

I wish you luck submitting your coins or whatever but don’t be surprised when they come back VG 8 or VG 10 and a big bill for grading fees….

basically you’re delusional sums it up …. Have a nice day

There is nothing wrong with asking your question here, however, NGC representatives do not normally respond to questions in this section of the forum.    If you want an answer from a formal representative of NGC you need to ask your question in the ASK NGC section of the forum.   Normally if NGC is at a show they do accept submissions, but there have been exceptions.

I have seen nothing of your posts here to be jealous of duck man.     But maybe if you give the forum some better moon shots of this nickel you can get the help you so desperately need.   You would think that someone in their teens would know how to use a cellphone camera.
