Ya know I love a good DD as much as the next guy but some of these new ones are just out in left field. If you can't see it in your hand it is not even going to pay for a cup of coffee. and that's that
Yep. Exactly. And I don't think he has a doubled die at all. I think he has a bad case of pareidolia. He's good at photos, though. I gotta give him that.

That it is, Woods. It makes you think............Wayne26, Hector John Waynee, SlickCoins.....when they show up, there typically is someone who is not present around here who is something of a presence..........

I would suggest you, and everyone for that matter, not waste your time on this nonsense, here is a quote from Fred Weinberg on the very same seven thread that he posted on the PCGS forum the same time he was busy spamming this forum.
"I spent a good amount of time, years ago, trying to explain to Mr. Lahti that
what he kept on emailing me was just numismatic pareidolia, and
also metal flow, contact marks, toning, etc. etc. etc., and that he was not
finding anything of any even minor significance. He never once thought that maybe he was 'looking to hard' finding
his strange anomalies. He's a believer in what he sees on his coins. His six (6) posts here, since he became a member, illustrate why,
finally, I had to just ignore him and delete his emails to me without
reading or responding to them - about 4-5 years ago.He is not interested in what anyone else says about his 'discoveries/research'."
This guy is only interested in spamming this and other forums with his visions.
Good to know, Coinbuf. Time to add Robert to the ol' Ignore List, where he belongs. Thank you for sparing me a ton of aggravation and annoyance. Robert should go chat with SlickCoins, who has sadly returned yet again.

Of a completely unremarkable 1957 cent that he's having a very bad case of pareidolia with.

What are you even trying to say? Like I said in your other post, you're off to a very bad start here.......I cannot make any sense out of what you typed. It's completely incoherent.

And I am STILL hoping a Henning will happen to show up sooner than later in the wild....... I'm sure there are still many floating around out there. The Henning Nickel is well known by veteran and enthusiastic collectors but I believe your average new collector probably has no idea what they are.
I've been in this game for going on 23 years as an adult and I wouldn't know a Henning Nickel if it kicked me in the face aside from the War Nickel one!

And here's a currency conversion website for that part of it:

Hi Chester!
It looks like tj helped you with the U.S. and now I can help you with the Canadian. This is a great website for Canadian coins, but keep in mind that all prices are in Canadian Dollars, not U.S. Dollars, so you'll have to do some currency conversion to determine the prices of what you have:

Good Luck!!!

Hi Chester,
What you have is definitely post minting damage. I know of no way for what you are seeing to have happened during the minting process, so it has to be damage. As such, the coin has no value.

Nope. Not even close. Not happening. Robert.....the answer won't change one iota by posting the same unremarkable coin multiple times. In fact, duplicate posts are considered to be very bad etiquette around here and are frowned upon. If you want to do well on these boards, you're off to a pretty bad start........you do enough stuff like you've done so far, you'll end up being ignored by pretty much everyone. I think you should look over this thread before you make any more posts if you honestly want to be successful here:
This thread lays it all out......what is considered polite, what the expectations are for posting, how to post in the best ways to get help with your inquiries.....all of it. This should help you learn how to use the forum and how to be successful here.

Man, I know nearly nothing about Russian Empire stuff (I tend to go Soviet when I go Russian), but I think Jonathan is right on about the improper storage causing the rub. I'd be comfortable with MS 62 or MS 63 for this coin.
-
I see nothing unusual about this coin at all. It's just a regular 1963 cent. Robert......none of these coins you've posted have been anything close to what you've thought they are. They've all been completely normal coins with no indications of anything unusual at all. I think you're experiencing pareidolia. Pareidolia is the same thing which makes people see shapes in clouds, so basically seeing things that are not there. Hoopster posted a couple of websites up for you to look at. I'd suggest that you do so and spend some time with them. Those sites will show you what actual errors and varieties look like and how to spot them. Researching them will also show you why the coins you've posted up so far have been nothing special. If you're interested in coin collecting and hunting errors and varieties, those sites are going to be good resources for you. I'm also going to add another for you to check out:

In my opinion these crazy You Tube videos dont help getting peoples hopes up. And people dont take condition into consideration. Grandpas dateless buffalos are worth a fortune.
Oh definitely, Hog. You Tube is a plague on the hobby in that way. Etsy also hurts because it is a platform for people to list up $50,000 parking lot errors. People see those garbage listings and assume that their damaged, worthless coin is worth $50,000.

My fiancée and I are doomed to deal with this situation at some point. For years, we've heard about this big collection of coins her grandfather built and what an astute buyer he was, all without actually seeing any of what he had built. Her grandfather's been dead for years and her grandmother is kind of.....weird, for want of a better word, about these coins. So, flash forward to about a year and a half ago. Her grandmother is showing clear signs of dementia and decline, and my father-in-law was helping her with some things and in the midst of this, he managed to get some photos of this coin collection we'd heard so much about. Lo and behold, we see mountains of junk silver, lots of Littleton packaging, Ziplocs full of Wheat cents......you know the kind of accumulation I'm speaking of. So, it would appear that my fiancée's grandfather wasn't the astute collector that everyone assumed he was. My fiancée, being a coin collector and being a part of the coin world for 13 years, was actually the first one to say that her grandfather had basically accumulated junk, with which I agreed completely. But if we have to do anything with this accumulation before her grandmother dies, that's probably going to get ugly......I dread having to make her grandmother realize that her husband was in no way an astute collector, or even a collector. He was a hoarder and accumulator. That is the reality of the situation. The good thing about this situation is that my father-in-law listened to us and he completely believes us and understands why what his father accumulated was junk. He's a great guy....very mellow. When we told him the true nature of this accumulation, he was just like "Well, he clearly didn't do his homework and just bought indiscriminately. I think he just bought silver, despite what Mom thinks." In this situation, I hope for two things. 1. That we have to deal with this accumulation after my fiancée's grandmother dies. It'll make it a lot easier if we never have to explain to her that her husband was in no way an astute collector. 2. That my malignant narcissist of a mother-in-law just stays the hell out of it. That woman can always make a bad situation even worse.

I'm with the others, Joe. SGS was a scam grading company, but you won't get in trouble for owning that coin in that slab. If I remember correctly, PF 70 or MS 70 were the only grades SGS would actually give out, regardless of how a coin looked or the actual grade the coin was in. That's a big part of what got them into trouble.

I think I remembered reading something about a weakly struck variety for that year, so I got out my Snow book and laid it on the couch, to look at when we got back from going to a friend's house to eat. When I got home, I discovered that my wife's new rescue dog had eaten the cover and shredded many of the pages. I tried to find the 1857 pages and piece them together, but no luck.
This is the advantage of a Box Turtle and a Plakat Betta as pets.....neither Lenny nor Hisako has ever destroyed a book of mine . Though, if Lenny (the turtle) was out of his terrarium and in a p*ssy enough mood and could access my research library.......who knows? He has surprising destructive powers for a small animal. And if Hisako was more than a couple inches long and had the ability to be independent of his aquarium, he'd probably destroy our whole apartment!! That fish has a very bad attitude. Our little house would probably look like the aftermath of the East German Uprising of 1953 if Hisako could make it so. He'd actually be kind of scary if he wasn't completely tiny.
But seriously, Bob, sorry about your book. And very cool on your wife to rescue an animal. I have nothing but respect for that.
