Brandon, Thanks! You saved me some $$$ for the Holidays ;)

I had my snipe set up on those. They look so much better in hand!

50c is this high grade is rare too. I believe it's Pop 1/0 at PCGS and NGC have graded only 2 in MS63 none higher.

I paid $276 in 2011 for 50C PCGS MS64, so I was very happy to pay less for MS66

Picked up a tiny Italian copper. The "goo" around the reverse edge is the silly PCGS gasket. Those things are really annoying on small coins.

Not new but recently found out what it was.

Bolivian die trial for the die of an Order during the dictatorship of Melgarejo in the mid 1860's. These are usually struck in lead.

Also have this but no idea what it is exactly.

What am I not seeing in your pictures that is keeping the Virgil at a 66? Looks like a really nice coin, and undergraded!

Jason, I have no idea. I thought it was a sure lock min 67 when I submitted it. It's insanely clean and lustrous. (shrug)

Hmm... the Italian one is a unicorn, isn't it?

No. It's Saint George slaying the dragon. The full description is in the Guess the Grade thread. Not a unicorn. It is based on a painting by Tintoretto c. 1570 (below).

I purchased these coins the other day and I used my Samsung Galaxy, Microsoft Picture Manager, Microsoft Publisher, and GIMP to create these pics. Not bad from a cell phone...
