I've never seen the Hallmark slabs before. I'll have to research them.

I love their slogan: The Connoisseur's HALLMARK Grading Service. First time I have seen any holder with the grade on both sides. If I am not mistaken, this coin is one of the few named after the figure depicted on the reverse and incorrectly referred to as a Buffalo instead of a bison. Popular Post Woods020
I went to a local coin show, the Alabama Numismatic Society, show today. It’s not really a numismatic society but a yearly show. Anyway I bought I think 8 or 9 things. A few Mercs I needed, a Franklin for an album, etc but this was my favorite. This is one I think the true view pictures don’t do justice. The toning is lighter in hand and it’s really an appealing coin graded MS 66+. I left if a couple times negotiating and the third time I went back to the table I had to have it. It will fit nicely into my slowly accumulating type set. To avoid non-buyer's regret, sometimes you have to stop your procrastination and get it while you can. Nice blue circumferential toning, strong strike and a serious MS-66+ grade made possible by a lack of surface commotion. Woods020
Popular Post Woods020
I happened through Meridian Mississippi today on my way back from a work trip, and looked to see there was a small coin shop there. No expectations. I ended up with these three. The guy was very nice and reasonable. I’m not a big Franklin guy, but he has very nice franklins galore. A few top pops I saw. I have a hard time passing up anything with a star that is justified. The seated dime is in a really old and cracked ANACS slab graded MS 64, and I paid 64 money. The toning is beautiful and I and going to get it reslabbed and feel like it has a 50/50 shot or better getting an upgrade. We shall see. But the eye appeal sold me.
