  1. A chop mark on one of those?? Were their trade half dollars?
  2. The sound of this one jumped out at me when it hit the pile. I also bounced it off the counter top and it sounds distinctively different compared to the other small dollar coins. The coin sounds very tinny. It looks like it has the same dimensions of a normal dollar. The normal small dollars weigh about 8.1 grams. This one is 6 grams. How common are under weight planchets? Would this one be within tolerance? Could it be the wrong planchet? Thanks.
  3. Oops, never mind. Looks like there's one already out there. http://cuds-on-coins.com/sacagawea-dollar-retained-cuds-1979-2008/
  4. eBay is my first go-to site for current and fair market values. Keep in mind, there are legitimate coins that do sell for thousands on eBay.
  5. I wonder if there are other coins still out there with the progression of this die crack?
  6. Maybe the OP can zoom in on the location of that die marker.
  7. Yes, a sticker or some type of press-on stencil. I've seen them on Kennedy halves as well. I would be more interested in this area of the coin. edit: Never mind, it's a D
  8. Yes, the obverse is busy but it's all there!! 👍🏻
  9. So many times I would see a coin I wanted or needed and would sleep on it overnight. The next morning (that's right) it was gone. Trust me, others will come along! Have you checked here? https://www.northeastcoin.com/inventory.jsp
  10. I failed that test!! That photo looks much nicer then the others. I like it much better now! 😃
  11. EF sounds about right. My first though was that it may have been cleaned. Maybe it's just circulation wear. It has unique patina though. That coin has character! I like it! 👍🏻
  12. I'd forget about the die chip thing. I'd be more excited that I found a silver dime. Nice find! 👍🏻
  13. I have four Classics in my Dansco Type Set, that's it. This might help you. https://www.money.org/commemorative-coins
  14. ............Cherrypicked from a roll last night. At first I thought it was glue or a cut or scratch in the coin. An acetone bath revealed this. It almost looks like this die was ready to shatter. The metal is raised and extends into the rim. Not sure about the exact definition, RIDB? shattered Die, bisecting rim to rim? split die?........but I'm pretty sure it's all there. I've roll-searched many of these small dollar coins. I haven't seen anything quite like this on these modern dollars. I've checked several sites. error-ref, Cuds-on-Coins, etc.. Unless I'm missing it, I haven't found anything close. Anyway, for your viewing pleasure and opinions....
  15. Good eye!! Nice overlay!! I guess you can call it whatever you want. Have you checked any other sites for a listing? https://www.error-ref.com/die_clash/
  16. That's a beautiful looking straight graded P01 Greenstang! 👍🏻
  17. ........Post them if you gottem'. This is my combo, the oldest and lowest grade coin in one. 😃 It looks the same in-hand, just a big brown spot!!
