  1. Wow!!..... That's not good!!! That's all I need to know. Out with the Saflips, in with the soft flips!! Thanks Dave.
  2. The best explanation I've heard yet! Or I was thinking maybe air bubbles? Whichever, your detailed analysis works for me. Thanks!
  3. Have you checked NE? https://www.northeastcoin.com/inventory.jsp
  4. I use these SAFLIP's for my submissions. Although I have two problems with them, I still use them as requested. I'm wondering if you guys have "or notice" the same issues. The corners of these flips are like little needles! To me, it's very aggravating. If it's aggravating to me, it's gotta be aggravating to the folks at NGC that open and handle all these submissions. So I cut the corners off of them. Also, it's hard to see in the pictures but there seems to be moisture inside these flips. I use Q-Tips to swab the inside the flips. It seems to work.
  5. .......which is appropriate. However, I need to thank one individual I have had on-going correspondence with over the past several months. "Scott = ) At Your Service" I'm not sure about the rest of you guy but this guy @Scott =) has pulled my butt out of the fire more then once! I'm always shocked and presently surprised at his prompt, thorough and timely feedback. He always follows-up with value added and solutions to the problems or question at hand. Several times, just when I thought something has fallen through the cracks with one of my submissions, here comes an e-mail from @Scott =) with the problem resolved. We are currently working on an unusual or out of cycle submission that needs additional attention and scrutiny. @Scott =) has been the middle-man and go-between to coordinating this effort with Dave. I can't say I know @Scott =) but I can tell by his correspondence that he "nips at the heels" of the powers to be to keep pushing the process forward. From where I sit, @Scott =) is the go-to guy at NGC for customer service. I'm not sure if I should be saying this in public. My intent here is not to make his workload double, just to thank him for all his help. I can tell you, he lives and performs his functions at NGC by his avatar..........."At Your Service" I'm not sure how much they pay you @Scott =), but it's not enough! Semper Fi
  6. Years ago, my wife and I went to Hawaii. We toured the Dole Pineapple plantation and processing facility. At the end of the tour they had free samples of pineapple and water fountains with pineapple juice!.... All you could drink! 😋 We should have gone to the Mint!
  7. I would only go if they gave out free samples.
  8. Well Kool-Aid or not, you don't see a lot of these in circulation. People must have been scooping them up.
  9. Hey- Since this is my thread, I have a question. I know the answer is probably out here somewhere, I'm just to lazy to look for it. If NGC will be at this show (and they will be), will they accept submissions? If so, what's the process?
  10. An additional thought. Back in the 1950's and 60's, the gov't considered error coins illegal to own because they "claimed" that they were never issued as coinage. At some point their position changed. Since error coins were released in bags along with legit coins, then the gov't DID in fact issue them as coinage. The problem these days are the errors that obviously were intentionally made and carried out of the mint, i.e. stolen. These are illegal to own but the gov't doesn't seem to have any interest in confiscating them, at least not right now, and probably never will.
  11. Cracks and clashes on the same coin! 👍🏻
  12. See if you can find your quarter here. http://cuds-on-coins.com/spike-head/
  13. Close to this 95-P but not exact. Always fun finding this stuff. I find it relaxing. Nice find!
