  1. I don't get it ? Is one silver and the other not. They look the same but one is a coin and one is a medal. Or they just call it whatever they want to.
  2. Or they see you coming and tell you what you want to hear. Now you are happy and leave. I have seen some shops if you are not there to buy please say goodbye.
  3. I would check out some of the ANA YouTube Video's they will give you some very good information.
  4. Save your money it is a worn out die. When you want to edit a post use the three dots on the top right corner for ( more options )
  5. I am sure your dime is a bit different being a proof .The dimes posted above are regular strike. The Denver coin in the center looks like environmental damage or some kind of PMD to me. I roll hunt all the time and I do see coins like this a lot.
  6. They look like proofs but the SuperBird FS-901 looks like a S This looks like a upside-down L . Can you also show the whole coin obverse and reverse please.
  7. It was more than likely pitted bad enough from being in the ground a long time that the brushing of the dirt would not have made enough of a difference.
  8. Nice photos' Well to me it looks like the mint is overusing the edge dies. Trying to polish them up. Worn out die's IMO being redone and used again leaving some shadow impressions behind that transfer to the new coin. Just my thought.
  9. It is doubling but a different kind. I think it is more like Die Deterioration Doubling. There are no split serifs everything is just shifted to one side
  10. Thanks for fixing that . I have a couple of these and as everyone is saying it is a error. Not a great one without the date but still a keeper in my collection.
  11. It may not look like much but when you are trying to fill a book and the lowest mintage coin of Lincoln Memorial cent is 55 years old it is a good day for hunting when you find one.
  12. There are still some out there. Not as many but fun to find in change
  13. Yes it is a big set . Not as big as a Lincoln set .
  14. A real nice coin. I think the stars at 3 and 9 are worn enough to make it a 58 .
  15. I was wrong not 1995 that was the year the ANA accepted NGC as there official grading service I guess . I looked it up at NGC and it is listed as the 1997 holder. https://www.ngccoin.com/about/evolution-of-ngc-holder/
  16. Some of these dates are hard to find. There are only 10 higher out of 219
  17. Thanks Neo......I have 110 of them so far just over 1/3 of the total full set of 300
  18. Sometimes the bidding gets crazy and just keeps going .I see many a coin going way above what any normal human would pay. Some people have a lot of money to spend.
  19. Yes I have a few of the older holders I like them. 1995 holder I think .I try to buy them whenever I can. The new four pin holder shows the coin much better but there is something I like about a coin in a older holder.
  20. I am not as big a fan on Peace dollars as I am on Morgan's. and yes. Most VAM's are not valuable but are still fun to find, the 22 is a monster for VAM's. You can see better on your phone than I can here. Your coin could be before the die scratch came up.
  21. What are we looking for Boss ? I see a weak reverse strike and maybe something on the eagle head and just below the chest. The photo is a bit fuzzy kind of hard to tell there may be more?
