  1. I own one star coin a PF68* it looks Cameo on one side . Maybe that is why it got a star. I think it is a easy out for grading company's it is almost a 69 but not quite, lets give it a star..? I would have rather had a 69
  2. I love the coins I see on Heritage but not only is there a 20% fee but before you can even bid there is a $30 BP fee. I just can't do that.
  3. Ya Neo, With a mintage of 210,402 it is always a quick sale.
  4. I Agree with our old friend, I am sure many were sent in hoping for full steps and returned as MS only.. I can say with a lot of shopping around I have very many a graded MS66,67 and 68 coin that I paid $10 or even less. It makes the cost of putting a large set together a bit easier. Remember unless it is a real rarity, I keep my spending to 33% of retail or less and I just move on to the next coin.
  5. Welcome Chelsea. I am not sure who sold you the coins it does not matter. There are no errors that any of us can see on your coins. The members who are trying to help you have many years of knowledge and you would be at a big loss to send in these coins. They are only (common cents) .
  6. I also will most likely never grade any of my raw coins. Not when I can buy coins all ready graded for much less than the cost of who ever sent them in originally
  7. I picked up a few more for my set. I have been trying to get the 2017 ANA enhanced for a while now but it always ends up selling to high. Well this time I got it for the nice price of $15.
  8. Thank you for the wonderful pictures and information Charmy . Always nice to see your trips.
  9. Yes Mike briefs is what was intended when I said shorts . Just that New England short talk I grew up with.
  10. Yes I also suspect it was a escapee from a SMS set seeing the strike and a lot of the steps are present.
  11. I am sorry it was not determined to be a real example. From the last two photo's it looks to have a cast seam on the edge of the coin
  12. I was online just over a hour ago and there was nothing showing? It looks like I am bent over trying to put on a pare of jockey shorts. ( Yes it is a lightbulb I know )
  13. Very nice. Now you have the graded value of the coin give or take the market. I think 55 is a reasonable grade for this coin.
  14. Welcome Shellyj. What EagleRJO has said is correct . this coin has many contact marks so it would only bring in a minimum price. Also not all Morgan's bring a primum price there are many factors to consider. Feel free to post more coins the members here are very knowledgeable and will give you honest answers to your questions. Good job on the photo.
  15. This is why I like to roll hunt. Not a error coin or a DD. Just a good looking 58 year old coin shows up tonight.
  16. Hello Karen, Good to see you .I hope everything is going well with you. Life gets busy and the family gets bigger. Keep checking your change. Ya never know. LoL
  17. I love your error coins I agree they are very clean but what I think it is with the third party graders MS grade 69 and 70 are reserved for a perfect coin and in Jefferson's and Roosevelt's it is a rarity. I think with a error coin you may see a 65 or 66 but anything higher would be a great achievement.
  18. I was running around a bit on both those days I did see your session Roger and one other. I thought it was put together well.
  19. Thanks for posting some background BBrown. We never know who may stop in and we try to help when we can. Sometimes it is easier to explain things than others and DD seams to be the biggest one. So welcome to the forum.
  20. Wow Bob that was very rude. Coinbuf gave you a honest answer to your question and also wanted you to know that the coin has been rather extremely cleaned. He did not say that you did it only that it has been.
  21. Yes it is one of those coins where the label says something. You are welcome to copy this image if you like.
  22. I would put it in a airtight and use it as a example to show others.
  23. I think I am getting old, I am confusing SP coins with SMS coins. You see there is another topic. LoL I only have the one SP 1994
