  1. That sounds like a good topic to clean up Kurt. I am sure you have plenty but I would be happy to send you any pictures of my SP coins if you like.
  2. Sorry Bill, it is just to mushy plus it is under weight. 95 is also one of the premium years.
  3. The problem is all the realty rare coins have not been found,(or so they say ). Because there is no proof of where or how many there were or are, that is what keeps it going. Like Bigfoot or AREA 51. That 14 D the missing D on the 22 a 1943 copper maybe a 55 DD or more of that 1972 like Sandons and all you have to do is go through your pocket change and do some roll hunting and you ( may ) find one of these coins and make a lot of money. That is not a lie it is a fact but the odds are you will not in your lifetime find one of these rare coins. Yes there are lots of coins that have made money at auctions but can you still find them in pocket change, IMO not likely .I still love to roll hunt and always will. I find neat stuff, some old Wheaties and Silver but not the money makers and most of us never will. This was the last fun coin I found. I still have to send it out for verification some day. I and some others think it is a Ragged Fisher. If you love it Keep Hunting just don't expect to get rich quick.
  4. Welcome, I see a normal 1943 steel cent. There is no Doubling or Wires only some bag marks that may give the allusion of something when under high magnification. Well first it is in a 2x2 holder and the photos are off-color it may be in good shape but it is to hard to see in the 2x2 at the most a MS66 would be worth $80 and that is high. In the real world more like 40 t0 50 still not enough to have it graded. I would just keep it the way it is and enjoy it.
  5. Well there you go. A new beginning for some old coins. Don't forget to save the mint chips, people collect those also.
  6. Welcome what you have is a cool third party collection. I would leave it as is. The coins in the mint sets are not worth a lot buy themselves except for maybe a few key dates. I think it is collectable as it is. It was also something from your childhood to remember.
  7. What Eagle said works for me every time with just factory settings
  8. Very Nice. I love these old half's maybe someday I may pick some up when I hit the lottery .Heck G4 hover around $100 There are quite a few varieties in this series also.
  9. I always use cash and change whenever I can, Mostly to teach the young people that can't count change.
  10. It will be bad for me. I wont get my cheap nickels any more. Everyone will want them.
  11. Sandon is correct MS 68 69 and 70 are very hard to come by. And with nickels it is almost imposable on a regular strike. Just browse through some price guides and take a look at how many MS 70 nickels are out there.
  12. Ya I saw the F and the 2 seagulls they had me wondering I agree with Sandon, Let it go.
  13. That would be awesome if you could get that.
  14. Wow chopped up but still nice VF to me.
  15. I think it would be a break even venture at the most. Average price IMO would be from $20 to $75 you may get more if auctioned at one of the big one's like HA or GC but still a long shot. Here is a sample. https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/1355295/Mint-Error-1957-D-Lincoln-Cent-Off-Center-ANACS-MS-63-RB https://www.greatcollections.com/Coin/1354754/Mint-Error-1974-S-Lincoln-Cent-Struck-60-Off-Center-At-K-1130-ANACS-MS-63-RB
  16. That's a interesting piece. I have to say most of the coins I collect have dead people on them also.
  17. Wow that token holds nothing back. It is in very good shape. What grade is it if any ?
  18. Yes I am still looking for one of those. Most of the SP coins sell off fast and to high a price. Kinda like the Denver ANA, 2017-S 225TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MINT - ENHANCED UNC I am always seeing that one go for a high price.
