  1. Every coin dealer I ever talk to about ASE's and there value or collectability says the same thing.. It is bullion ...
  2. I agree it is not the real deal. I think if the photo is good, most of the time the comments correspond with a as close as can be expected. Truth be said .... Grading is just a opinion..
  3. Well That's a kick in the pants. I think most of the regulars around here do a purity good job of grading. Obviously you are on that list with some others here.
  4. That looks looks it is from the 3 coin bicentennial silver set it is a tough bugger.
  5. Ya I hate to think of all the cool coins I could have picked up if I had stayed away from sex, drugs and rock + roll... Oh and raising 4 girls can put a hole in your pocket.
  6. Another treat was this toned 52D. It is so hard to get the tone color on a cell phone but it is like a rainbow color.
  7. I love it when I find a little extra in a coin. This 1941 S I picked up last week has a nice rim to rim die crack. I thought I could see a crack in the sales photo and sure enough it was there.
  8. Dang Bill , you are the Proof King. Congrats
  9. With the way the market is I don't think you would get $165. PCGS book is even lower like$100. Burnished are more valuable than most. Bids start at around $35 and only top out at 60 to 90 on average. Unless it is a special label.
  10. Welcome Basinger68 . It Looks normal to me . Other than the coin has been turned?
  11. I am having the same problems with nickels. I used to get real nice coins for under $20 or under $10 even. Now coins that are worth $35 high retail are selling at $50 or more. I think there are many non-numismatics just buying up whatever they can get there hands on. The internet gives out to much hype and I think that it drives prices up on lots of stuff.
  12. Did you get to see a lot of raw SP coins ?
  13. This nickel is from the Henderson collection of toned coins. I have some other nickels that come from other collections also. I think it is kind of cool.
  14. What you have now is a 2023 eagle in US Mint packaging. It is not really worth sending in unless it is something special.
  15. You may be thinking the 1992 CAM that is the only one worth a premium. and very hard to find.
  16. I roll hunt coins all the time and I stopped searching dime rolls. There are just to many worthless cuds, chips and other oddity's that will make you crazy. It is not worth the grief.
  17. You are in the right place. Your coins are not collectable there is to much damage to the coins. They are only worth face value.
  18. More coins for the Registry Set. This slider was a little more then I like to spend but still close enough to my 33% price at $16
  19. It is cool but without a closer look I will say I.cutler has the most logical answer.
  20. txboaz55....Try to place the coin on a white piece of paper put a soda can or glass next to it. With your cell phone resting on the top of the can zoom in to fill the screen with the coin and take a photo of the whole coin, both sides.
