  1. Yes they are hard to find in circulation. I am sure you can find some at some coin shops. But not many That is what will be the test of their value. I found this one in a shop outside of Charlotte NC.
  2. ANACS Has me wondering sometimes ? I see some things labeled that are just not right. Most recent would be a speared bison that the spear is missing. Maybe it fell out.
  3. What does your holder look like? On my set the Kennady is in the center. Nope I had to go take a look it was the SBA took the place of the Ike and it was goofy looking.
  4. 79 had two type mint marks I think you have the type one on that coin. The filled S also called the boxy S. The pcgs mint set price guide shows $12 for that set but the type two says $50. Both are a bit high IMO.
  5. There is one old bank I deal with that has the giant walk in safe with all the safety deposit boxes inside. So, this bank gets a lot of walk-in services. Sometimes those boxes get cleaned out.. They always have these sweet rolls every month or so I get a batch to bring home to warm up. Most of the other banks are just the new stuff only. This was the roll that had the toned 1989 Ps with all the smashed rims. The gold tone on the wrapper was the same color as on the coins. To bad those rims were a mess.
  6. Ya it sounds like massive $7 for a small DDO. Maybe I should send mine in so I can retire. I think the postage is more than $7.
  7. The last of the rolls only gave up a 1964 that did not have the snot beet out of it and a maybe, 1964 Black Beauty. 64 and 58 were the two common years for that mishap. Although there are some others out there.
  8. I believe that. As I said before I live in a high retirement area so when I see home rolls there is always the chance it was a stash that belonged to a past collector.
  9. Quality control is not what it used to be and a big tolerance on many things are now commonplace.
  10. Welcome. Sounds like you answer your own question Die wear maybe a tilted hub but no big deal
  11. You may want to check some of the other dates for Henning Nickels. Here is what you may find. Henning Nickel (error-ref.com)
  12. Are you sure you want to send it in? You will have a large investment on a coin that will only be worth market value. Unless you find just the right buyer, or you love it and never want to part with it.
  13. Wow it has the crack and the chip. I have been looking for one for 60 years. Nice find. Congrats. It is odd you joined NGC seven years ago and you only have one post.
  14. 2009 is like very hard to find. This 2009 D popped up in one of the home rolls. It's a mess but still a hard to find.
  15. Ya I tried to find one, but they all had too much damage.
  16. Look at the smashed edges, thats to bad.
  17. Well. One roll was an unopened roll 1989 P. Most are toned, have nice fields and 5 to 6 steps but you can tell the roll has been bouncing around for a long time. All the rims are banged up from the coins bouncing off each other for 30 years.
  18. I found another batch of Home Rolls. We shall see what we get this time.
  19. If you send it to PCGS the rim ding may slip under the holder tab. It is a chancy purchase as is.
  20. It would be nice to see both sides of your coin if you want some opinions.
