  1. Sorry to say, it looks like it took a hard hit. That is why there is extra metal on the reverse it has been pushed up. A clip would have less metal near the edge.
  2. Ride Sally Ride. This coin has been ridden hard and smacked with something tougher than itself.
  3. I have been looking for a nice 1962 D it may not look like it but trying to find a MS 66 is tough and it is not much easier to find a good MS65. This is a real nice gold toned one.
  4. I don't see to many wheat cents anymore. Of course, 1939 is one of the most common cents,
  5. I am not a fan of peace dollars most just look blah But I think these are very nice AI.
  6. I agree with Greenstang, it is a very nice cent. If you sent it in you may get a Low MS grade but the value will be nowhere near the cost of grading it. I see a stain and some bag marks and I do not know what the reverse looks like
  7. It's ok Dozer you found out it was a fake. Someone was helped today, that works for me.
  8. I live on a Island. High humidity and sulfur marsh everywhere. Some days it smells like egg salad everywhere. Ya my coins will most likely tone more than others. I do what I can to help them out but there is no guarantee.
  9. Ya Midwest Dozer, I agree with Mike it looks a bit off to me.
  10. It is not easy to find a new nickel without cuts and bruises
  11. Nice quiet afternoon doing a bit of roll hunting. Not bad for an 84-year-old coin
  12. Strange things can happen with copper. I have seen many different types of toning on coins. The dime on the left was found in the center of a roll of copper shield cents. Was it toned from being in the same roll or did someone think it was a copper cent and just threw it in the batch of cents to be rolled? There are some questions we will never know the answers to.
  13. LoL ..I have some coins like this ...maybe it is just toned guys .. Not all the facts are present. The op has not even given us a weight of the dime.
  14. It looks like 3 1/2 steps I have been told the crack does not count when grading 5 or 6 steps.
  15. Welcome Elcangri482 Yes, it is a tough hobby to jump into. I think you will find there are some who are very seasoned and set in their ways. Everyone on this site are collectors and volunteer their time to help new members whenever posable. There are times when it can get frustrating when we see the same bad coins day after day. Do not be too quick to judge those by what you read in type there is no emotion in letters on a screen.
  16. LoL.. Some of the most knowledgeable numismatics in the country have already commented on your coin, whether you are aware or not.
  17. I find that new members that join NGC feel they must take advantage of their discounts on having coins graded. I like Sandon and Eagle and many others think you must learn to walk the walk before you run the race.
  18. Here is my double spike. I think it was a rim to rim but had worn off due to circulation. If you hold it in the light you can see where it went across the side of his head. SKH-5c-1994P-03 & 04 Jefferson Nickel Spike Heads 1938-1999 : Cuds on Coins (cuds-on-coins.com)
  19. Cool, Nice crack, I have a few with similar cracks. but not labeled as die cracks
  20. It is a MS70. Until you send it to someone else to look at.
  21. I can drive to the nearest coin shop and but any set to this day.
  22. I agree it looks like a torch job making bubbles on both sides.
  23. Abdulah, you are doing the right thing by posting coins here. It looks like where you are from US coins are selling for a big price and most of the coins you post here are just normal coins. Unless it has been graded coin you are doing the right thing by asking before you buy.
  24. You can only upload certain size pictures. Without pictures we can not help much.
  25. Yes you can put in your own photo or the NGC graders photo.
