  1. Way to go JP, you really have an eye for those things! Btw what did a beautiful Morgan Cc cost?
  2. Deal of the day. 1979 P D mint sets plus a beautiful prooflike 1947 P quarter and a MS 1974 Jefferson fir $11
  3. I have no idea a what this is. 23.5 mm diameter 2.4 mm thick 5gr weight Copy stamped on back so it’s worthless but just wondering what it is a copy of.
  4. I agree, the toning of authentic toning usually runs off the coin doesn’t it? As if another similar coin laid on top of it for a long time. There are scratches on the toning at 10 and 11 o’clock, plus bag marks and scratches in the field and what’s going on in front of libertys nose? Scratches behind the braid. That’s just the obverse . The reverse has deep scratches under the arrows and what are those tick marks under the motto? Imho, fake toning after cleaning AU
  5. That coin looks very “painted” pass on that one. I’m betting you could wipe that right off and the coin would be worth the same amount afterward
  6. Welcome, I have purchased entire sets, partial sets and quarters on ebay. Got an entire set 1964-2020 Kennedy’s all mints in books for $200. Got a set of almost complete Roosevelt Dimes and a set of MS and Proof zlincons in books for a reasonable amount. Kinda like a kick start. Watch for sellers which have sold lots of items and mostly positive feedback. Also check against already sold items to insure you are paying the right price. For individual coins use the NGC coin explorer and finally two words of advice, never clean a coin, use gloves when handling and submit good focused, cropped photos here and you will save your self a lot of money and aggravation. As James stated, you can always get an opinion before you buy. And there are real experts here (not me by a long shot). good luck.
  7. Just mho, but compared to my 1921 ms63, I would judge a 61,62.
  8. James they did produce a silver coin version, but I’m sure the one I bought isn’t one of them! I don’t care, it is only for a simple display set I’m building anyway. Thanks Bill
  9. I read that the 2012 14 coin proof set is one of the highest price proof sets to date, so when I saw this 14 coin set for $70 with free shipping, I thought it was a reasonably good deal. 14 proof coins for $70?
  10. Aww nuts! I went ahead and bought it on EBay for $18.99 . Even if it’s cupronickel, it will sort of complete my anniversary set. I gotta be wacko!
  11. James I’m not surprised but passed on them since they were cupronickel. I also already have both of the 201 Eagles, waiting for 2021 Morgan cc and 2021 peace dollars as well as having purchased the 2021 Brittania silver and the 2021 Queens 95th birthday coin. So I guess my own set.
  12. I can tell you this. The One dollar silver certificates are selling between 10-12, the Red Seal two dollar bills 10-15 and the 5 dollar red seal notes are selling for 10-17 on Ebay.
  13. You lucky dog! I think your paying off someone at the bank on the side :0)
  14. What is the difference between two similar coins PF69 one that is UCAM and one that is DCAM both by NGC?
  15. Derick, coin grading is expensive and most of the time you will not be pleased with the result unless you can show some of your cents with good clear, in focus, cropped photos to this of us here. It might save you a lot of money. You can always do as I did, fill some books. For $25 you can buy all the books necessary, and have the enjoyment of filling them. It took me about six months but I have every cent from 1909 to 2021 all mints with the exception of the vaunted 1909 s VDB. It will take a while to get that one. Welcome to the forum and happy collecting. Our rule of thumb is that if a coin is not worth $150, it probably isn’t worth grading. Exceptions do apply for rarity.
  16. Very nice JP! What luck you have! I don’t know enough to verify your grade but your judgement seems right but certainly a good MS.
  17. I would like to see a photo editor added to the registry. Especially the ability to rotate pictures to the proper orientation.
  18. I received my 1oz. Silver Round from money metal with the St. Gaudens design. Very lovely! 1.1oz 32g 38.9mm x 2.5 mm also received my 1986 Liberty set (dollar) and half Proof UCAM and finally the old 1921 King George V silver florin and the 1921 King George V penny (kinda rough but it was free.
  19. I agree I think it is a very nice legitimate coin. Doesn’t seem to be any slab damage and I don’t believe they would bother for this coin. Although your ms66 shows a value of $155
  20. JP, neither my 2021 D or my 2021 S WCD seem to have this clash.
  21. My Newest today 1986 Liberty Dollar and half dollar commemorative set 1921 King George V Silver Florin 1921 King George V penny
