  1. That is normal for a 96. Check this site for more info. https://www.lincolncentcollection.com/closeamwideam.php
  2. This is true but your Roosters do have 2 feet so the steps could be endless.
  3. Nothing super exciting here but a solid add to the complete nickel collection.
  4. Thanks Mike and yea it was a good chunk for sure. I need JP to do my coin buying.
  5. You can use the registry in several different ways. You can go the competitive route or you can just simply use it as a way to catalog your coins and anything in between. You could start a type set with the 2 coins you have there. There are several other sets that those coins could be used in as well. Both nice pieces. Go ahead and give it a try and see what you think.
  6. Nice one JP. Not the easiest coin to find in FS and it sounds like you got one hell of a deal on it. Nice newp brother.
  7. I would say that it is mostly hits and damage from falling into the bins. We are talking about thousands upon thousands of coins falling on top of each other. Reeding on new coins can be fairly sharp and do some damage. My theory on the “starburst “ on the face is maybe that the point of the star on another coin hit her right in the face while falling into the bin. Like I said, just a theory. Maybe some small die chips in the mix.
  8. Very nice piece EdG. Tough date in a high grade. I know these are not easy to find. Congrats on this one.
  9. Here you go CJox. I know how you like those San Fran coins. Got this about 15 min ago.
  10. Learned something new today and very glad we don’t use the long s anymore.
  11. Makes it a bit tough to read when most of the lower case “s” is replaced with “f”. I did however see the lower case “s” used as well. Interesting. Good thing he didn’t use the word suck anywhere.
  12. Sorry buddy I think you have the wrong guy. I don't know squat about Morgans. I don't even own a single one. Looks like a nice piece though. Congrats.
  13. Heat can have this effect on coins. The outer clad layer separates from the copper core. Someone deliberately did this to this coin most likely.
  14. This one may be good for this thread. I have had this forever and yes, this is how it was when I got it. Way before I even collected coins.
