  6. you can peal the paper off the mint set and when you get to the plastic you will notice that there will be an edge that you can lift up and pull apart. The plastic will separate so that you can pull them out. just make sure you don't have a cat around or you may lose them all on the floor. I have done tis a many of times to fill my danscos.
  7. sorry to say but this isnt an error it is a harshly abused Lincoln Cent..........and welcome to the form
  8. looks like a fountain coin with a lot of pool acid on it
  9. hahahah yeah like @Lem E said looks like the one in my mint set..........
  10. Marc, the only thing in this set worth grading and that is if you want to spend the money is the nickel in 1997 this set came with a special SMS type 5 cent piece. in high grade full steps you can be anywhere from $150 - $500 it is kind of hard to tell from your pictures if this meets the bill or not. with that being said the only value to the botanical garden coins is if it 70 and those are hard to come by. so its value is only around $30 - $35 which doesnt make it worth grading... hope this helps? and the Dollar well it is only worth 65 cents now, so i would spend that before it goes to 50.
  11. thats a good find! most are already ragged out before they get here to Florida... look like parking lot finds
  12. you can always crate your own custom set if you have those.
  13. I do not think that i would pay the $10 to attend the show. around her in Florida the big shows are free. (FUN) even the local shows don't charge. so let me put it into this perspective. it cost $10 in gas just to get there, $ 12 in tolls round trip, $15 for parking, so that is about $50 without even seeing a thing. i don't think i would want to drop another $10 on top of that.
  14. why? have you heard of my new label series... its called JT has your label just send me your coin and i will send you a label.......................... I was getting ready to purchase a coin one time and this guy said well it is such and such because it has a special label. i told him that those done mean !@# to me i just would like the coin..... he sold it to me for a lesser price just because i told him that that stupid label doesn't mean butkis
  15. not to bad for running around for 20 years...... of course i am partial to nickels
  16. Exactly what i was thinking before i got to the bottom of the page. fits well in the 8184
  17. I agree looks like a filled die i wouldn't waste good money on it if i were you. not unless it is special to you for some reason.
  18. JP shes a good looking Jeff. and as you know these are hard to come by you can got from $25 in 66 to 4K in 67. i dont even think many of the Denver mints had full steps back then but if you get that then add another 5 k to the tag. with that said on the obv. most of Jefferson's hair is not definable. from the temple on to the back of his head. also the hair tie is not very well defined. and a couple of nicks on the collar. and on the back defiantly not FS and the windows between the pillars are barely definable... but you know i am persnickety when it comes to nickels and maybe a little harsh.......JMO

  21. looks like some sort of stain on the coin..... unless it was pulled from a mint set then i have seen them look that way.
