  1. by the description it could be a brass small date. it should be around 3.11 grams.. its a good find if it is.

  3. Bob that is just how i see it. In My opinion a clean coin should always be dropped by 2 grades. but you know what they say about opinions I would not buy a problem coin even if it was a rarity.
  4. WOW this has to be one of the worst Franklin's i have see being called UNK .....looks about 3 days worth of growth on his checks. His jacket has very harsh bag marks. the bell looks like it has been hit with a hatchet. the date looks like someone hit it with a weed eater........ XF at best.

  7. Proof coins have only been struck at Philadelphia, San Francisco, and recently West Point. sorry.

  10. That is really easy to do..................Just don't tell the wife!! My nickles are mostly raw and in Whitman or Dansco short about 12 on the buffalo MS set and half of the V set left.......... tough to find good ones people don't want a few limbs for.
  11. Awesome find.. I am kind of partial to nickles........ having most of them in some type of condition back to my shield 1866 shield w/rays .... i would start on some half dimes but they rent nickles and are awful small guess i need a ticker set of glasses.....

  14. Sorry not one for picking up the gimmick labels. this subject drives me nuts when tying to acquire a new coin that is in one of these "Special" holders ............ crack it out......put it next to a raw one......... then tell me the difference........

  16. Well i am not so sure i care about that. I am a firm believe that NGC is not ummm lets say as lenient as other TPG company's. I maybe wrong but i have seen plenty of others that i have laughed at and set back down.
