@Hoghead515 your truck looks just about like mine! I have done the exact same thing on many occasions my friend. Especially on a long road trip in the wife's car when I have the whole backseat to myself. I just "go into my own little world" and the next thing I know..... we are at our destination.

That's a good one J P!! Pretty witty I have to say. Speaking of "spacers", I can't believe how many perfectly Cent sized flat galvanized washers I continually find in bank wrapped rolls. I'm not talking about the brown bag Walmart sleeves. I'm talking about the tightly wrapped (no re-wraps involved here) Loomis rolled Lincolns. Very odd these things wind up in a roll. I told one of my bank teller about this and she said that it was not possible. Well....... she's wrong.

I'm still struggling with my newer phone in taking good clear pics like you have posted. Damaged way before the Dremel was invented I would assume. Probably an Exacto razor which would more likely fit the time frame. I couldn't imagine an Exacto being used as you mentioned JKK......🥴 (or a Dremel for that matter.....🤮)

Yes, proofs are hard to photograph, but the pics supplied were very good and very easy to see the splits/notches IMHO.

Hello @Jas17931. I agree with all of the above comments. You can also see Machine Doubling (MD) on the upper lip, nose, and the forehead of Washington' profile from your pics. The raised metal at the base of George's neck (right side of lower neck) are the designer's initials which are completely normal, they are supposed to be there. There is noticeable MD on the word DOLLAR, just below the designer's initial's, and most likely this is what has happened to the designer's initials as well creating a "spread" of sorts but this would not considered true hub doubling..... Basically just a case of machine doubling and maybe a bit of die deterioration doubling but nothing else. No premium on this one, sorry. And.... welcome to the forum!!!!

That is a very nice off-center strike. As said earlier, seeing the date is a bonus on one of these. One thing that caught my attention was the designer's initials on the reverse, FG. In my opinion, they look to me to be relatively close to the Memorial which would signal one thing. I had to turn my computer upside down to see this though...haha. However, we will never know....... I do remember seeing a very nice 1999 struck off-center in the past that was a WAM. Very nice find in the wild @Lisae228!!!

First of all, nice pick-ups J P! Ima tellin ya...... you got the golden touch for finding deals and I can't imagine where you live that you have such a plentitude of shops to pick from!! Or even flea markets if that's the case. I felt like I hit the lotto when I found three Whitman albums full of Wheats and those numerous board holders full of foreign stuff. I would like to thank everyone once again who has commented, replied or has given a reaction on this thread and topic. Even though I have only personally spoken to, and met a few of you guys, I can't say enough good stuff about the members on this NGC forum. I said it once before awhile back, and I will say it again. I consider NGC as my "home" coin forum. I have felt this way since the day I joined and I always will!! I completely admire and respect the no B.S. straight forward and to the point answers given to the questions asked here while at the same time doing your best in helping out those new to collecting (meaning those who are genuinely serious about collecting and numismatics...... ok...STOP Greg..... don't go off on a tangent here....). Due to those members here who put up with all of my "Newb" questions, which at the time were very important to me because I had the desire to learn, yet politely urged me to take a step forward and outside of my comfort zone to learn on my own, I am truly grateful for. Because of you all that respected my questions, gave me advice, gave me feedback and gave me much needed direction, is the sole reason I have become a much more educated collector than I was years ago. And NO.... I'm not just saying this because of a newly found DDR here that I got lucky in finding (even a blind squirrel will find a nut every once and awhile)......... I'm talking about the entire learning experience I have experienced here and the privilege to learn from knowledgable members here on the NGC forum. Thanks!

Well... NOT to revive this thread, but I got my coin back yesterday. Pretty cool to have the letter of authentication from Brian Ribar. It was packaged very nicely too (obviously what you see below was mailed in a larger padded envelope). Next step is to send it off to ANACS I suppose. Not that I think it is going to grade out very high, but just for the sake to have it slabbed as a "New Discovery". Just wanted to share the letter as I was pretty excited to finally have my hands back on my Jeffy. Thanks!

Obviously, I was kidding about a 64 SMS (but.. who knows....🤔 hmmmmm....., maybe they do exist but we just don't have scientific 'proof' they do.... hence my Avatar). After I made my last post/comment above, I thought to myself, "Greg..... what in the -_-_are you thinking mentioning anything about a 1964 SMS....?" I DO NOT want to open up a can of worms here.....
