  1. Welcome to the forum This site is for coins, currency should be posted in the PMG (paper money) forum. Also indicate what your question is, don’t just post a photo with no explanation.
  2. Impossible for that to happen during the striking of the coin. PMD
  3. You have this posted on three different forums and none are the right one. This should be posted on the “Ask NGC/NCS” forum, they will be able to give you the answer.
  4. So what the OP is telling us is that the mint made a 1965D die, produced a rare cent then retired the die? If they had made such a die, there would have been close to a million struck and I am sure more would have surfaced by now.
  5. Welcome to the Chat Board You should really start your own post instead of piggybacking on an old one. This only causes confusion. As far as your 1920S cent goes, it is just a corroded wheatie, hence the lighter weight and has no numismatic value in that condition.
  6. Agree with Coinbuf, legitimate clip, the way the letters fall off and the dovetail rim indicate it’s real.
  7. There is a ding on the steps about 1/3 in from the left that would negate a FS designation
  8. Welcome to the forum Agree with the above, just heat damage and worth 25 cents.
  9. Erin33 Please include the year in your heading. There are some years that are expected to have FS and therefore would not be attributed as well as there are years where it is nearly impossible to find a FS.
  10. Welcome to the Chat Board Not an error, it is 100% damage. There is no way that could happen during the striking of the coin. Looks like some one has tried to cut it with something like wire cutters or tin snips.
  11. Welcome to the Forum First of all, what makes you think it is a 40% Silver planchet. And no, certification does not include cleaning as you are not supposed to clean coins and yes, certification would include grading.
  12. Mine logs out every 2-3 days and I have to log in again even though it says remember my password. I am also getting the delay every time I login.
  13. Actually the OP posted it twice on PCGS, his own thread and a high jacked one. Still gets the same answer every time.
  14. It is suffering deterioration on both sides of the coin. Guess the mint was trying to get its monies worth out of that set of dies.
  15. As per your previous thread on another site, it is not an error, it is still damage. An error can only occur during the minting process and there is nothing in the process that would cause this to happen.
  16. Welcome to the Chat Board A very wide open question with no information supplied. It could be worth a couple of cents or over a thousand dollars, depending on condition. As stated, we will need a clear photo of both sides of the coin in order to evaluate it. Unless it is an uncirculated high grade cent, don’t expect to get rich of it though,
  17. Photos are too dark and out of focus to tell what you have. Also if you are selling, please follow the instructions for posting in the Coin Marketplace
  18. The fact that it is out of round tells you that it could not happen during the striking of the coin. Definitely PMD
  19. If you can’t see it at 5X, then it is irrelevant anyways as it would not be recognized by the leading TPG’s.
  20. If you insist it is an extra coating, then it was applied after it left the mint. It would be considered damage and as mentioned, worth 10 cents.
  21. You have posted in the wrong forum, this is the forum for buying, selling coins. I have asked that it be moved to the proper forum. As far as your coin goes, that is some sort of environmental toning which is considered damage and is worth 10 cents. Also in the future, please include photos of both sides of your coin.
  22. 1982 Large Date. Even if it was a Small Date, it would still only be worth 1 cent.
