  1. It definitely caught me off guard when I opened the roll! Even more so when it was this silver foreign and not a dime or some other small foreign coin. Neat find
  2. I'd be happy to find that in a roll. Never have that kind of luck congrats on your find! Thanks for posting.
  3. Netherlands East Indies 1/4 Gulden 1941P I'm pretty sure that was correct. I don't go out of my way for foreign coins but this was a neat find in a penny roll. Considering I don't have one and it was in good shape for the most part and has good luster still. Not sure about the value but I'm assuming only a few bucks mainly due to silver content sadly. Any opinions or knowledge welcome.

  5. I'm sorry if it's not what you were hoping for. Everyone here is being honest though. It's not an error of any kind..this happens often with coins. If you Google and search about what a dryer coin is you will see that. As @Greenstangsaid it is just damage. If you tried getting this graded you would be out of a lot of money. You can do whatever you like though
  6. Found a 1919 S Wheat Cent unfortunately it's beat to snot..and then one of the rougher 1942 P Type 2 nickels I have found in awhile. Better than nothing I suppose.
  7. I have thought about private sales in the future seems like a more level playing field. Just takes more time and effort. If I do take anything to someone I would just like to see how the game plays out and see what they say I'm not desperate, emotional or in a rush..no blood in the water. Actually sounds kind of fun just would be better if a fair deal was made. For both parties. It would be a good experience although maybe not a pleasant one Hopefully I have done well on comps. Worse case scenario is I will just have my coin that I like. Hopefully one day it doesn't tank.
  8. I took this into consideration before and with other pieces and I agree with you 100%.
  9. Will do, thank you! Thanks for explaining your use of excelsior. Whenever i see that word used I think of Stan Lee saying it. I thought NY state motto was "Hey I'm walking here!" Just playing
  10. I like my new addition hope everyone enjoyed waiting on my 1963 PF69 Ultra Cameo Jefferson nickel next.
  11. Thank you! Yes I looked at way back and current and it is all over the place. Including current offers. I appreciate your input everything helps! Are those percentages from experience?
  12. Thanks that's helpful if accurate. I myself don't do any business with a dealer or dealers yet. Just wanted to educate myself if I ever go to one. Is that from experience?
  13. Thank you that was helpful. Not planning on it for now. I added it to my nickel collection. I know in the future I would be better off finding a buying myself then.
