I had the day off work so I figured Id spend some time admiring some of my coins. Ive noticed this for a long time but looking through my quarters today brought back my curiousity. Ive been wanting to ask this question for a long time. What is the reason the tail feathers are so weak on quarters? Also the tops of the leaves in that area? While putting together this set Ive noticed its very hard to find one with tail feathers that are storngly struck. Even on quarters where everything else is well struck. Is it due to the relief of them or something such as that? Ive been wondering about this for a long time and thought of possibilities but would love to hear some expert opinions. The photo below is one example of one of my coins. Its a 1934. But it really seems like all the 1940's I have are the worst.

Only for minor errors with catchy, over-hyped names.

Jeep, I bought the 2022 Proof ASE. I will send it in sometime, along with some Ben’s and Walkers. I had to pay $73 for it, but it’s really sharp, not my photo, I’ll do that tomorrow. So far I have the 2022 proof set, the three 2022 Kennedy’s, the two 2022 proof quarters, all three mints dimes, nickels and cents, and the 2022 inno brass nickels. People are selling the ASE’s on EB for about $85.

Errorist would probably have a fit if he seen all the junk Ive thrown in the coin jug. I quit saving die cracks unless they go completely across the coin. Small cracks, gouges, scratches, die polishes, chips, and other common garbage like that gets tossed in the coin jug and rolled up around Christmas time. I see them quite often. I quickly examine all my change before I toss it in the goody jar. I have saved a few more significant ones and put them in flips and tossed in the (may look at again one of theses days) basket. I dont hype them up and Ive certainly not named them. The ones I find like the one in the OP get tossed in the Christmas jug.

Blocking the drivel makes my experience better. When I don't have to deal with the Slicks and Erroists of the world, my experience is better.  When the definition of what they post is "zero value", it's better for be to block than play "follow the troll".
We only get so many breaths, you know?

Newton’s Third Law of Motion states that “Every action creates an opposite and equal reaction “.
Alex First Law of the Forum states that:  For every action there is an opposite and unequal over reaction.

In the words of the infallible Errorist Elaqnore8 :  . "It’s hasn’t been in circulation the past 50 years or longer. It has a obverse error."  " just looking for information"

It really doesn't.  I pride myself on tying to be supportive and kind to collectors (especially new and young collectors).  You want to argue, and I am not going to do it.  Now, you have already wasted enough time of mine, and you will not get a second more.  I do not need to see your coins, or hear anything you have to say.  Goodbye, and good luck.

Apil 4 'Slickcoins' arises - April 6 'Errorists' pokes his reptillian head up.  All you guys conversing with this multi-name troll should stop.  If it post pics like Ratzi33 and writes like Ratzi33 it is Ratzi33. If you ignore something long enough it will go away.
