  1. Happy you are back and being on the mend. Hope you're back to 100% soon.
  2. One of the most truthful statements made on our now 'modern' hobby. Labels with fancy pictures and signatures, labels that say "First Day of Issue", "Early Release", etc. are all designed to do nothing more than add a premium. Of course, this is just my opinion but, since I buy only NGC and ATS, i have no choice depending on how bad I want that particular coin.
  3. No problemo Kevine; we all make mistakes. No harm - no foul.
  4. That is very interesting. Wouldn't mind having some of those.
  5. I'm going to take a wild guess but I think it's had a 'dip' or two. If not then........WOW! It's very hard to get an 1879 CC in a shape like that. Big bucks.
  6. I have to agree with you. Just look at the resurgence of the Morgan/Peace Dollar fiasco. That's just one incident in a long list of numismatic disasters. It's almost a crying shame that, under at least one administration, the United States Mint can't have a decent showing and give it's customers better service. But then; my opinion is biased.
  7. How many times over the years on this Forum have we asked the question: "Why did the United States Mint do that?" I, and it's just my opinion, say that the Mint has rarely had a valid reason for doing the absurd.
  8. Don't let @VKurtB fool you. Pennsylvania drivers leave a lot to be desired. They need to go to Alaska and get a course in Winter driving. Two inches of snow and the highways are cleged with wrecks. My sister, a born and bred Pennsylvanian, is the worst driver I've ever seen. I wish she would convert to being Amish and drive a horse and buggy but then we'd probably end up with horse steaks for supper!
  9. @Coinbuf I believe you are correct. There has come up, here and ATS, an awful lot of those coins found in the latest archaeological dig in the recently closed Walmart parking lots and called 'Error' or 'Variety'. Their heads are full of that 'I'm gonna get rich' nonsense.
  10. There is way too much You Tube and not enough legitimate coin forum knowledge eing gathered.
  11. Oh BTW: Returns: Seller does not accept returns
  12. Perhsps there is something to this You Tube craze. I think some of these guys are on a roll. Starting bid: US $49,999.99 1934 Mule Penny Memorial Back Lincoln Cent Authentic starting bid: US $49,999.99 Condition: --
  13. Another see what I found. PMD doth not an 'Error' or 'Variety' make. These people have to leave You Tube alone aand pay more attention to the forums.
  14. Hog: I worked 5 years as an Alcohol/Drug Counselor for Union County, Oregon. I had more loses than wins so don't get your hopes up. Pray; that's all you can do.
  15. Looks good to me. All the San Fran Mint's coins were nice. I believe nicer than the CC, O and P Mints.
  16. @CoinJockey73Nice find! That's one coin that has seen a lot of travel.
  17. Pretty good condition for a circulating 64
  18. I must disagree. It didn't get a Proof 68 'Star' for nothing. Just love coins that shine; that's all.
  19. We have seen this on our host's forum. Many posts 'revealing' to us this '1st of it's kind' error that turns out to be nothing more than PMD. I have no idea whether the person(s) asking believe it to be true or a just trolling to rev up the excitement. Same game different names. See VKurtB's comment above.
