  1. Not any more and it 'appears' to me that a lot of the mentally challanged are flying unescourted these days.
  2. I've been studying up on this Hoard and the best I can find is 9,900 to 10,000 coins. Several articles and I cannot guarantee their accuracy.
  3. Used to collect them but sold most years ago. I think all were silver and toned in one way or another.
  4. Alaska Airlines for one had a walk out of pilots wanting more coin and better conditions. With some others it was a bad weather front in Florida.
  5. A multi-million dollar corporation needs to bilk poor little Steve out of a Grand. "Liar, liar, your pants are on fire" OP. "Hello Steve, I've looked into this and you expressed your financial status to Scott and at that time the decision was made to send the coins back to you ungraded. You were not charged the grading fees, only the return shipping charges. Thank you, Lisa"
  6. the FBI's dig for Civil War-era gold in Dents Run, Pa. Actually, it's buried in my back yard. Civil War buried gold! Yep. They have been roaming the Hyner Mountain areas for decades looking for the 'Lost Prussian Castle" built on a high mountain top in Clinton County centuries ago. Believe Lafayette slept there.
  7. I have no idea how I have avoided his long reach all these years.
  8. @Vess1 Sorry to hear you got banned. I belong to CT but I only read the posts that I'm interested. I also say it's not a "scam". Sounds like an OP with hurt feelings. Well, I'm off to watch General Hospital; have a good day.
  9. PCI was one of the favorites of the 'Shake & Bake' artists of early eBay.
  10. I was perfectly happy with the ANA, and then ANACS. Just saying; I didn't need all the fancy window dressings.
  11. That's the best idea I've heard in this hobby for years. But...would the TPG's ad CAC love you for it? Still, a great idea and would save a lot of heartbreak.
  12. I read some about this 'treasure' find. It seems odd to me that several insurance companies sued to get some gold saying 'they' had paid claims on the lost gold. 1857 claims paid and 1988 or so sue for damages? Greed has no scruples, eh?
  13. Wow Roger! That is one big machine. Thanks for the pic.
  14. There is a small, but determined, group of folks who have started collecting slabs and don't care too much about the coin. The older the slab the better.
  15. Now that I can understand IF they are those US Mint wrapped rolls or other modern day coin rolls wrapped by legit banks.
  16. What some have to say makes sense but................ Morgan dollars in rolls. How many disappointments have there been that opened these, so called, OBW rolls of Morgans to find 2 CC on the ends and in between.? Now, I have it on good authority, that there exists original bags of Morgano dollars.
  17. You know, if some of this is true, why do we not see these "rolls of CC's" up for sale? Or maybe we do, eh? 1878-1893 GEM BU CC Carson City Morgan Silver Dollar $ From OBW Roll Estate Sale (seller 295+ negatives) RARE Binion's Horseshoe Las Vegas $20 Dollar Roll Casino POKER WORLD SERIES '60s (seller says "“Opening it is totally at the risk of the buyer.
