You can even post pictures of the coin on this site before taking it to a dealer. Tons of talented and knowledgeable folks on this site who are willing to give their opinions and share their expertise.

Have you tried adding it to your registry? If so, an email was sent to the previous owner, and they will have 2 or 3 days to dispute that you have the coin. They can either dispute it, confirm they no longer have the coin, or do nothing. The entire process usually takes 3 or 4 days, last time I went through it.

Hi. A coin collector friend of mine had it (actually two of them)...they are indeed gold, as I had them professionally tested...but he most definitely told me they were replicas...but my big question is "should I send it in to grade" or is it a total waste of money?
On 12/23/2021 at 2:00 AM, Judy Stockton said:And, I don't want to send them in if all of you think they are replicas...waste of money for sure...NGC charges $78 per coin for the grading...yipes...not counting shipping
I'm confused. Your friend told you they were replicas, but you don't want to send them in if they are replicas?

Howdy,
Did NGC ever conclude this question? Looking at one of the type scores for Morgan and Peace dollars in one of the 20th Century Type Sets (https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/competitive/united-states/type-sets/215/definition/#8761) it lists "2021 Morgan $1 Advance Releases MS " as eligible for the Low Relief Peace dollar slot, which is obviously wrong since 2021 is not in the 20th Century, and a Morgan $1 is not a Peace $1, but it made me wonder if this issue was decided.
For some reason, there are a bunch more "not eligible" coins listed as "eligible" in the the Morgan and Peace dollar slots for 20th Century Type Sets, e.g. (1526-7) ITALY FLORIN FLORENCE FR-276 FRANCESCO MARTELLI MS , (1565-1602) INDIA PAGODA NAYAKAS OF CHITRADURGA MADAKERI NAYAKA - GOLD MS , 1549 FRANCE CAROLU BESANCON MS , AH1255//12 TURKEY S20P MS , and a bunch more.
Thanks
They got their own set.

At the time the OP posted this thread there was only one MS67 in BN, now there are 5 in 67 and one in 68. I have no way of knowing if the op's coin is one of those 5 new high grade examples that have been added or not as he has not updated with his results.
It's not. He hasn't even sent them in yet. Now thinks it's a 66.

Right now, I just have a single Plakat Betta with a Marimo Moss Ball in a six gallon. Our apartment is kind of small and we already have our Box Turtle, whose enclosure takes up a lot of space. But I love Bettas and I love fish keeping, so I'm happy with my little Hisako (his name) and his smaller tank. In the past, thought, when I've had more space I've kept all kinds of tropical freshwater fish and goldfish. But Bettas are some of my faves.....they have a ton of personality and each one is such a unique individual, I've found. How about you Morpheus? Do you keep fish?
I used to keep them. Had a Betta in a 20 gallon, and the I had a community 125 gallon tank. Back in the day, I had a 125 gallon African Cichlid tank, and I also had a 75 gallon with a lone Oscar in it. Loved that fish.
Here is the community 125. I had several types of catfish, but the corydoras eventually overwhelmed the tank with their breeding. This was before I started adding fish, while the tank was cycling. The centerpiece of this ended up being a green severum.
Here is Ickey, our betta. Wife is a Cincinnati Bengals fan, he had the colors, hence he was named after Ickey Woods.
And this was the best fish of all time. This is a 48" 75 gallon tank, so you can see how large he got. The tank is so sparse because that is all he would allow in there. He tore everything else up. His favorite thing was to swim around with a golf ball in his mouth. This is Melvyn. Oscars are truly wet dogs.

Myself i just have a 55 gallon. I have 1 mystery snail, 1 bumblebee catfish, 1 pictus catfish, 2 cory catfish, 2 Danio glowfish, 1 tetra, and 2 minnows I caught out of the creek. I love my fish. I can sit and watch them for hours if I had the time.
Love the corys, but man watch out. If they start breeding you'll be in trouble lol. But if you can, I would add a few more of the corydoras. They are extremely social fish and do best in groups of 5-6. In a 55 you should have plenty of room.

This is correct. See this thread and the answer form Ronnie at NGC:

I could go on today and list a bottle of the water I took out of my aquarium doing a water change for $1,000,000. But that doesn't make a bottle of old aquarium water worth $1,000,000.
Let's get to the good stuff. What type of fish do you keep? How large is the aquarium?

eBay sold listings. Mixed with eBay for sale /auctions. Ngc very important to get an upper idea. Same as pcgs. Google search.
Finally. The bigger auction houses allow you to look and prices realized as well as current offerings can really help. I am not a big player and so far have never won an item from them but there’s lots of info available. Collect what you like 😉This.

I hope you're not desiring a Scratch-Resistant EdgeView Holder. From NGC's "News" the following was announced:
NGC Scratch-Resistant Holders Temporarily Unavailable
Posted on 11/18/2021
NGC anticipates that Scratch-Resistant Holders will be back in stock in six to nine months.
Yikes. What a mess, both here and ATS.

I'm sure you and everybody else here has bought raw coins. VKurtB said that a 2021 Type 2 ASE is selling for $32.54 on several websites. Then I said in ungraded condition maybe but if we were to add the grading fees it's closer to $100.00. Isn't it possible that the person who sold the bar that you've mentioned bought it when the price of silver was $10.00 per troy ounce then just now decided to sell it for more than double their money? Did you even consider that possibility or were you with the seller when they first purchased the bar in question?
As I mentioned earlier in this thread I bought a Silvertowne 10 troy ounce bar of silver back in 2008 when the price of silver was $8.00 per troy ounce or $80.00 and I can sell it today for around $230.00+ based on the current price of spot silver which is almost triple my money.
You're completely missing the point. Your tying the value of your Silvertowne bar to spot. That is what caused the rise in price. Nothing else. How much was a silver eagle when spot was $8 an ounce?
I'm done. I just hope that anybody who reads your opinions (I can't bring myself to call it advice) does so with great caution.

Why are you continually using graded eagles as your basis for comparison? You are the only one in this thread who has mentioned graded eagles. If you want to use graded eagles for your comparison, then I offer this 10 ounce bar that recently sold for $1275 on ebay. Where's the value now?

SOUTH AFRICAN SILVER KRUGERRANDS (BULLION) BASIC MINT STATE ISSUES, 2018 TO DATE
in NGC Registry
Posted
I am curious why this set even exists, when there is only one more year, the 2017, that would encompass all coin in this series? Why does this set start with 2018? That would be like starting a silver eagle set with 1987. Hopefully it's not because of the 50th anniversary privy, which is on all 2017 krugerrands.
