It is a plastic holder for a silver dollar sized coin.

I finally added a Barber Half to my type set, thanks to jom. Before he even had a chance to advertise this one, I saw it on my weekly browse through various coin websites. It arrived today, and I shot some pics of it. This one was 2 years in the finding, and I'm very happy with the end result -- patience is not my strong suit, but this time it was really worth it. :grin:

The 1904 barber is very attractive. Have been looking for something similar.

 

I did pick up nice bust halve recently. Also a nice walker which was not quite so recent.
