One of a dozen or so pickups recently. And I did not pay "moon money" for it.

I have 4 coins in the chute... just waiting for the time to expire and I win them.. I have a feeling that I will get bombed out for 3 of them... still have hope for 1 of them. Fingers crossed everybody!! ha ha ha

Physicsfan: yes they did. But the quarter seemed to be more excessively dipped than the others. The others are decent and market acceptable.

All of the coins Jom just posted experienced the same treatment (with the possible exception of the half dime).

Ouch!

Interesting takes. From the Bust coinage I've seen over the past years most if not all of the nicely toned halves are pretty much all similar...at least the ones that are circulated. Many have hairlining to an extent as well.

As to the Barber half if it was dipped then it was a rather weak dip as it still has a ton of luster left...especially for an AU50.

The quarter may or may not be "acceptable" by PCGS or NGC as it's in an old ANACS holder. They graded it XF40 but I think it's more like VF35.

Thanks!

I thought for sure that Ankur didn't like it because it didn't come with a side of green-beans. ;):baiting:

Aside from nice colors on that Peace dollar, that appears to be textile toning under the Y in LIBERTY.

Nice Saint Kenneth! Here's my latest purchase from a fellow board member, a long time coming but well worth the wait (though I can't speak for him)!

I have always wanted one of these, and Roman (TwoKopeiki) had a few nice ones for sale recently. I'm very happy with this newp!
