It was difficult to get a pic of this coin as the devices still have some frost left but the fields are so mirrorlike that the amount of light reflecting back at the lens washed out any of the head on pics. Popular Post Sandon
I bought this 1914-D Lincoln cent last night at a coin club meeting from a senior member who specializes in U.S. copper coins. It upgrades the corroded, pitted and scratched example of this key date that has been in my album since about 1980. This new coin is chocolate brown, with a strong VG obverse and a reverse that has sufficient wheat stalk detail to grade Fine. It has a noticeable dig at the back of Lincoln's head and some light rim damage but is overall a decent coin for an album collection. Popular Post The Neophyte Numismatist
I recently picked this up and wrote about it ATS. I needed a 1936-S for my late date (1934-38) buffalo set. Honestly this was a set that I didn't even know I was building, but I buy coins here and there and I am almost done now. This coin was an exciting buy, because it was listed as an S, but it is the FS-501 S/S (this is one of my favorite RPMs due to the north/south spread). Popular Post Hoghead515
I bought this one for my album. Im gonna try to complete it with all BU coins. Problem free as possible. This one has a small spot or two on Franklins cheek but I think its still a nice coin. Im very happy to add it to the Dansco album. Popular Post Coinbuf
Something minor to fill in the gaps between the larger purchases, I bought this Washington quarter today at the monthly local coin show. It will be fill the slot in my raw album nicely, my photos are a touch dark but I think I captured the colors fairly well. I Love the color, in hand I can only imagine a type of Champagne toning with Emerald shine...I close up the breast and Eagle Talons...very Sharp!! Popular Post Coinbuf
Bought this Barber quarter recently, while this does add a few points to my NOLA registry set I added this to my collection as I find this coin far more pleasing than the XF I had in that slot. Sellers pics as I have not attempted to take any myself yet. Lem E, Rod D., Hoghead515 and 3 others

Popular Post Mike Meenderink
1865 2 Cent Piece VF25+BN nothing too spectacular but I literally stole this coin for $8.00 plus tax with free shipping on eBay. The coloring in hand is deep chocolate brown with light circulation wear and very very few detracting marks or eyesores. I bought it because it is a very clean coin for its grade. Realistically this coin has been in pockets through many many hands, cash registers, bank bags etc etc...The fact it looks this nice as a circulated piece attracts me to it. It's worth about $40.00 graded and encapsulated. Winning.. Popular Post Mike Meenderink
1916 P Mercury Dime MS 62 DDO north/date. As of now there is no attributed 1916 P DDO FS 101 designation. I am researching further for possible first attribution by accepted experts. I found this coin online for $15.00. Obvious die doubling visible on date as well as die breaks showing on coin. Popular Post Sandon
I just purchased this 1936 Cleveland Centennial/Great Lakes Exposition commemorative half dollar at a local coin show. PCGS graded this coin MS 64. The dealer from whom I bought it also had an example of this issue that PCGS had graded MS 66 for a reasonable price, but it was noticeably more bagmarked than this coin, which I found more desirable. (The MS 66 coin had a duller surface that may have been more "original", while this coin may have been carefully "dipped".)
