  1. Hi Zebo. Yes sorry L4. More images attached. I will contact them thanks.
  2. Hi all, I have an 1887 MS61 gold sovereign graded by NGC. I am sure this is a Marsh rarity (Hooked J DISH 4) and I have seen some gold coins that have the Marsh rarity number on the slab when graded by NGC. How do you send a slabbed coin in for checking when it comes to a Marsh rarity like this? I assume I select Variety plus on the form, but how do I indicate the Marsh code and do I select the reholder option? Can I send this in with other coins or does it have to be on a separate form? A picture of the rarity is attached. Thanks in advance.
  3. NGC has reaffirmed its commitment to integrity in coin certification by aggressively pursuing justice in a scheme that targeted the numismatic community. The defendant in the case, Richard Albright, removed NGC-certified coins from their holders and replaced them with coins of inferior grade and value. The lesser coins, which Mr. Albright encased in holders that misrepresented their authenticity and condition, were sold by him to unsuspecting collectors and dealers.
  4. Okay thanks. I have seen posts on other sites saying they are around 38 grams. I was just looking for an easy weight test on coins I buy. So if the coin weighs 60 grams and the slab 38 that gives us about 98 in total as a quick test.
  5. Hi all, Does anyone know the weight of a current NGC holder for a 2 ounce gold coin. Thanks in advance for any answers.
  6. Just received the confirmation email that the coins have been received. So that’s great news. Thanks everyone.
  7. Thanks for the response it’s appreciated. I will give it some more time and hopefully I will get the confirmation next week.
  8. Thanks everyone for the helpful replies. I will update when I get a response.
  9. okay thanks for the reply. I guess I need to allow more time. I have sent some of the memorial sovereigns for grading. The first coins with Charles on them. Anyway I will update the thread once I know more. Cheers David.
  10. Hi, I Joined NGC in the UK recently and sent in some proof gold coins for grading. They are initially sent to the NGC UK offices in London and then I assume they will be sent onto the US for grading. My question is how long would it normally take for them to appear on the system or when you would receive an acknowledgment? I sent them in to the UK office on the 24th of April (delivered 25th), but nothing yet, so I assume they will only appear when they arrive in the US? Would be great if the system could be improved so they are tracked from when they get to the UK office if that is not the current process.
  11. Thanks both. Its a strange process as it was delivered to the UK office on the 25th and so far nothing is showing.
