Nice medal...it seems it can also be used as a weapon as well.

What's the grade on the 1821? Looks XF to AU or so.
Nice one!

I scored a + grade (64+) on my last eBay raw pickup (the 34-P). Now, I am looking for my first making of a star. Technically, i think she is a MS-64.
Who cares about stars, green clovers and blue diamonds? That's a nice coin regardless!

I have had this one for a while, but while doing inventory realized I had never imaged it. Here are the recent pics.
Nice one! Nice date too.
This one has very similar "toning" to an 82 No P I owned years ago. Mine had a lot of die polishing though...

JOM,
Funny guy - as a matter of fact, there is another 1899 ...
I'm shocked.

Have no fear ... at least another 18 coins coming ... just no images, yet.
Let me guess: they are all dated 1899.

Wow! A whole Bunch of Beeeyuuutiful SL's.
Love your '75. What grade? Seems AU to me...

I bought it raw, thinking it was AU. I paid MANY multiples of sheet for it. I sent it off to PCGS and it came back MS62.
The price you paid is typical (at least for me) when it comes to toning like that. Great coin!
BTW, what's a 62 "sheet" for for? Did it make up for you purchase?

Great coin jom, but wrong coin type.
Back on track.
Whoops. I deleted post.

I am slowly working on a Barber Dime Date Set in MS... only toned coins...
I think this'll qualify ............

OK, wait. Didn't you already have a set of Dimes with nice toning? If I remember correctly, I kicked myself not bidding on your pieces when they went to sale. How are these different?

What do you guys think it will grade and do you like the secondary toning?
I love secondary toning. Sure the coin was dipped but who cares?! There is nothing you can do about that so you make best with what you have. Putting it in a Dansco is perfect. Most of my Bust material has probably seen similar circumstances....
Grade? Haven't a clue. 64/65?

Nothing like customer service!
I like S/B because I can go see there coins here locally for any of their auctions. I've also never had issue with service (yet). Their set up here always seems rather disorganized so I can see why they have such issues....

JOM,
Did you just recently pick up a beautiful Ty. 1- 1917-D SLQ ?
A friend showed me the images of one he had sold, he didn't
say who it was for, but my thoughts went immediately to you.
Someday, I'd love to sit down and look at your SLQ's. Everyone
that I have seen so far has been spectacular !
Good question: Unfortunately, the 17-D is the one of the three I showed I no longer own. I sold it in June. I paid a lot for it and it turns out I got back the same....
I still got the other two though! My only two I have left anymore.....I've been divesting my 20th Century pieces for sometime now....only keeping a pair of Mercs, Buffs and SLQs. I used to have a bunch of those along with $2.5, $5 and a good number of $10s. No more though...

I don't know what the 1868 4 D is, but I Like the way she looks!
What is it a 4 Pence?
OP
Yep, it's a 4 pence, Maundy issue. Mintage of 4,158 pieces.
How much did it set you back? Low mintage! Cool!

$124, shipped.

I was just offered my old 1915-S back - I had this coin for 15 years
in a Dansco album - and sold off the non-58's four years ago.
Now, my third collection consists of attractive coins regardless of grade:
101,905
Exactly...who cares about the grade. If the coin is nice that is all that matters.
I'm still kicking myself for not picking up one or two of those AU58 dimes you had for sale last year. Dumb....just dumb.

The World and Ancients board is a ghost town, and I thought a few here may enjoy seeing this Dark Side coin.
Me likey.

Picked this one up from jackson64 in the Money Marketplace here. It has a lot of "wow" factor in hand, and a very solid strike!
Spiffy!
