Love that 45-S Gunny!

That is a nice SLQ. The high points on both sides seem to have some tics here and there (knee, date, high part of wing) so maybe that is why it is only a 64...although if it has blast luster it might be higher.
Fits right in with your 19-S (or was that a 19-D...can't remember).

Finally, a FH SLQ that I can agree with. Nice pickup.
I was gonna say...that's a hellava strike...head and shield.

A new DBH...now I have a Hat Trick of DBHs...1805, 1806 and 1807!

Well, I'm sure it's an S MM if PCGS says so...that wasn't my question. I just wondered if the date was typically bad on MMs or was it wear? I'd guess the former rather than the latter....

Love that RE!

Nice 1904 but I think I would have held out for a better mint mark. Is that typical for a VG to have a mushed MM? I would think it's somewhat protected down into Good, no?

Nice CBH Jeff. How far are you along now with the set?
Bob: I was looking at the Oregon myself. It was very nice in hand at the lot viewing.

I didn't get a chance to see it in hand, but I liked the look the image was trying to show. My gamble paid off, even with the overbidding.
What did it go for? Wasn't it $1400 or something?

Raw? Nope. OGH PCGS VF30

Looks like some nice colour there Jom . Are the marks adjustemtn or post mintage?
They looked like adjustments to me...but I'm no expert. In an OGH holder VF30.

I have never seen a true rainbow Peace dollar like that in person and I have been to plenty of shows.
Like I said elsewhere that is exactly the case for me. Admittedly though I don't look for Peace or Morgan dollars all that much so your experience is greater. That color looks like it was pulled right off a Morgan...one sided and same pattern. Weird.
Were there Peace dollars in any of the bags released by the mint in the 60s/70s? I had heard there were Seated Dollars....not sure about the Peace dollar though.

Those are gorgeous! I think I need something to wipe the drool from my keyboard!
I had to refrain from the same thing except I was drooling on the coins. That IS why they use slabs for protection......right?
EL: That particular toning, as I've been saying in other threads, is from a bag. It has to be. I sure looks like the color you get on many toned Morgans...like your typical 81-S. I'm not sure that is easily replicated. Is this wrong? Anyone? I'd like to know.

Thanks to Shane (a/k/a Kryptonitecomics) for working with me for a partial cash sale/trade on this rainbow toned Peace Dollar.
Yay!

Like I told you in a PM, I'm still kicking myself for not bidding...basically I got lazy and didn't go up to Beverley to view the coins. I'm a dolt.

Rather than repeating myself from the Early Half dollar thread I'll post a couple of coins I just sold. An "anti-acquisition"...made some good proft on these...more than I expected. So long...it was good to know ya!

It got buried there...I didn't see that.
Wow...AU58! Are you made of money?
I doctor I had at one time owned the highest graded (back in 1997 or so)...I think it was a 66...can't remember. I think he got it from Whitlow...

Without having to go thru the whole thread: I'm curious...do you own an 01-S quarter?

El: Have I ever told you how much I hate you?

Oooooo...I want the 04-S!
Soooo..when are these going to sale again?
