  1. I would love to own this. It's a shame you no longer have it, and that it isn't on your sales website.

I looked up my records and I owned the coin for a short period of time in the latter part of 2003. It's been gone a LONG time....and only had a couple of months to boot. Keep looking you'll run across one again....

Also...I love Bill's Pan Pac!

  2. AU55 PCGS with that green sticker thingy.

I need to get my own photo of this eventually. There is a lot of luster left that you can't see and the photo is a bit "bright" relative to the coin (ie washed out).

I certainly paid up for it at auction but I saw the coin in hand a couple of weeks ago and thought it was special (my opinion only). It fits in with my others pretty well also.

  3. Beautiful 1919-S SLQ Mike. :cloud9:

I agree, way better than MS63. Perfect candidate for a gold bean.

I am resubmitting it to NGC as soon as I receive it. I think it belongs in a 64 Holder, too.

It'll go to CAC once it's in it's new holder.

Why do you think so? The strike is great and the marks are minimal...but given luster doesn't always translate well to photos is that where you think they got it wrong before? Lehigh could be right about it being lackluster. Let's us know when you get it....

The luster looks good enough for a 64 to me. Congratulations on the new purchases everyone.

I don't necessarily disagree but I'm curious to what El thinks when he sees it. Along these lines I've got a 19-P that NGC graded 62 that I find rather undergraded. So maybe NGC is just being difficult. Note: both of these coins seem to be in similar holders...

  5. The is my MOH coin I purchased from the mint several months ago, but just got around to scanning. There was some dust on the scanner bed which shows up as white specs on the image, but the coin is spotless. I am cosidering sending this one to NGC for grading... what do you folks think? Would it be worth it? hm

BTW - some nice coins out there folks...this is great!!!

What's your goal for having it graded? If you are going the keep the coin a long time who cares what grade it is? To me, grading fees are a waste of money in this case.

However, if you plan to sell it you have to see what the down side is to the grading if it doesn't come back in, say, PR70.

For me, I like the coins in their original packaging...that allows me to save my money for other things than grading fees.

That's a pretty nice design.....the obverse liberty is pretty cool.
