Nice coins there El. Look at the quarter I rejected on the last page. What do you think?

Here's one I bought off eBay:
Once received I rejected the coin. Any guess why? I know the photo isn't great but it isn't my photo.

Nice CBH! I think you nabbed that one before I had a chance (if it's a very recent purchase from Feld). You bum!

There aren't all that "recent" but I've got some photos of them finally.

Very nice quarter there Leeg. I'm moving into those earlier designs myself (see previous page) and getting away from 20th century stuff for now. Should be fun.
That Buffalo has it all Buffalo Head...strike and color!

Most of the coins they sold me were called "gem bu".
Uh...oh.

Thankfully, your abuse is not allowed over here. Go across the way and bully all you want.

Smart money says real life.
2 to 1 Odds! That's better than Vegas!
Ok, Ok...sorry...I'm adding to the "noise" here.
Please, can we stop this naming calling [!@#%^&^]? It's become like the PCGS boards.

NGC has warned you a number of times about your baiting techniques LouSeal.
What the hell are you talking about?
Dude, relax.
Suggested remedy: Alcohol.

Some people point to this as NCG being looser or PCGS be more conservative.
And who are those "some people"? They are newbies who collect moderns and other such newer material you would normally see in such high grades. And there are even veterans who would complain about this because they think they can really tell the difference between a 67 and a 68 on a CONSISTANT basis when they really can't. I can't but I don't complain about it.
After being in this market for 12 years now I can say the only problem I've seen with NGC coins was there previous tendancy to overgrade dull/lifeless toned pieces. I believe that hasn't been a problem for a number of years now BUT many of the coins still linger in their holders it it gives them a bad rep even to this day.

though I think NGC is a bit more lenient in Morgan Dollars graded above 65, as well as some of the key dates
Since you are a dealer in these coins and you seem to be a reasonable guy: Tell me, does NGC being "lenient" on these dollars really mean they aren't as good a grading service as PCGS? Another words do you favor being "tight" rather than being "consistant"?
Thanks

I may have to take a look when the time arrives...maybe I'll pick up one of each denom and try to get a better date while I'm at it.
It's too bad you have to let go. I did that with my $10 Indian set a couple of years ago and it wasn't very easy....I still miss a few of the pieces...
