  1. I agree with JP & JT. It doesn't look right. Plus, your pictures. Is the coin cleaned or are the pictures washed out, to light or over exposed?
  2. I know what you're getting at and going through. It's very frustrating having something in mind for your collection and not being able to find it. I modified this 5 quarter Capital Holder. I'm wondering if you could modify this 3 half dollar holder. Maybe you could fabricate a black foam rubber ring or gasket around the quarters to fit inside the half dollar holes. I modified and added a blank small dollar Dansco page for the back of my type set. I made small foam gaskets from airtite gasket rings.
  3. However, I had a second thought about coins and investing. If you're working for and getting paid by NGC or one of the TPG'ers and you're "not" a professional numismatist or dealer, I guess you could put investment and coins in the same sentence. You're being paid (and maybe investing some of your salary) as a direct result of the coin market.
  4. Yes, I'm thinking that's the way most of us think about coin collecting. I guess that would be 100% profit for the kids!
  5. Unless you're a professional numismatist or dealer, I would forget about putting the words investment and coins in the same sentence.
  6. Unless you can get someone to pay you more then 8 bucks, you "way" over paid. But if you like it, it's worth it. I don't believe your pictures are good enough to tell what those marks are. I'm in the damaged or "hits" column until I can see better pictures. The green is probable damage. What we call verdigris.
  7. I added the JP. I found the picture of the t-shirt on a site like this.... https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=APq-WButouF65WWWt0B4gqA27y8BJVYwWQ:1643917053030&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=pictures+of+t-shirts+with+Nickel&client=firefox-b-1-d&fir=ElBEnG54c3JKxM%2CnxpTUfNdyHv2bM%2C_%3BC_ATQSB5bWZUrM%2CTbfvpw3GDAyi2M%2C_%3BQJThitVqief8kM%2CnxpTUfNdyHv2bM%2C_%3B3AbYBLy2mnwjyM%2CqlyzXw8mvtip_M%2C_%3BtToPn116NPfSKM%2Csp2LdiOnhCGfbM%2C_%3BLtWRD5_Z_z7ePM%2CzPRhQiXFvfY0hM%2C_%3BQOaCT51DGI1GZM%2Cq0HcnxSGxp2kxM%2C_%3ByNYf8NGwSftObM%2CZ8KF5uh2AxgISM%2C_%3BtENAHBIRw38kMM%2CT4EDq6boubdSdM%2C_%3BvlTryGeud59ErM%2CWQRwF5jD0dthCM%2C_&usg=AI4_-kS9Dz4Nq04Cuk_7ovAa5weBV-Dpsg&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiYmPGfpOT1AhUelIkEHcQaCnIQjJkEegQIAhAC&biw=1487&bih=756&dpr=2
  8. About 1 1/2 weeks but I think I create threats the right way.
  9. Wasn't trying to berate you or discourage you. We get a lot of folks you that think we're mind-readers. If you're interested in coins, stick around awhile. You could probable get many of your questions answered just by searching through the many threads and posts here and links Mohawk posted. If not, as you can see there are many here to help you.
  10. I just wish new members would put the date, denomination and brief description of the issue in the subject line. Post fill pictures of the Obv. and Rev, then zoom in on the area in question.
  11. I answered Mr Bill. I said, Casino, correct.
  12. Someone should create a political survey thread. What political ideology category best describes you..... Anarchism, Communism, Socialist, Liberal, Conservatism, Environmentalism, Fascism, etc.... No details or opinions of your position, just pick one and be done with it! So we know where each other stands.
  13. Casino, correct!! I have no idea about that St. Gaudens.
  14. Intentional damage? Error? I don't know but I like it.
