Not that long, doesn't look to be much bigger than a jewelry box and the construction is much like one. The real concern is as mentioned above, the type and age of the wood used.
Lol, I have spent over 2/3 of my life studying the fineries of meats and spirits aged or cured in wood. Mostly from barrels. 🤔 and of course the smoke house. Very nice coin collection box but I too would be concerned with the wood’s sap/sugars affect on the coins preservation. Maybe if the coin slots were sized to fit capsules and used for conversation pieces it would work great.

Following up on the “crack out” @Lem E post, and response I made to post by @J P M and @Sandon where I stated, in jest, that I had never spent a penny for a nickel, came to an epiphany when seeing the Crack out” post.
I have not ever paid directly for a nickel but have indirectly purchased nickels in proof and mint sets allowing me to accumulate coins that I really do not collect but have to protect after the crack out from a different type of slab/package.
hope you all can appreciate this in one way or another.

Well to update, I soaked it in acetone for an hour and then overnight. It didnt change anything about it.
On a side note, it really is awesome that there is a resource like this to help the unexperienced figure out the difference between damage and errors
I am sure those that gave response to you appreciate your kind words. They do an excellent job here trying to help everyone see that there is a great difference between damaged and error coins, especially when the majority of the folk here are into grading coins not error hunting. I might suggest that if you would like to experience an error coin hunting only website, visit Conecaonline.org then touch forum. You will see more PMD and MD coins than imaginable with an occasional true error find. GL
