  1. Hello @Jpws@yahoo.com, Thank you for reading out to us. Carrier tracking may indicate that your submission has been received at our office; however, it will take some time to reflect within our online submission tracking. All packages received move into an intake process where the contents are inventoried and compared against the submission form as validation before moving forward into the grading process. Should any discrepancy be encountered with an item itself, a missing or extra item, or any other concern, our customer service team will reach out for clarification accordingly. The intake process can take approximately 7 to 10 business days before the order will reflect within online submission tracking. This period is accounted for in the overall estimated turn-around time displayed at the point of the submission. Coins submitted in expedited grading tiers will be expedited through the intake process and are generally available to view online within 1 to 2 business days following delivery. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

  5. Hello @James C McLeod, Thank you for reaching out to us. While I cannot evaluate or identify coins via photos. I can provide the following article that may assist you: NGC Coins | 1972 Eisenhower Dollar. 6. Hello @Ernest Nichols, Thank you for contacting us. We do ask that you label the flip of each coin to help with our submission intake process. This is particularly important when submitted multiple coins and/or multiple submissions. Improperly labeled coins can significantly slow down the verification process. Since you have only submitted one coin there should not be an issue. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  7. Hello @Kurgan, Thank you for the additional information. I will look into the reholder of these coins and reach out to you directly via email. Let us know if you have any other questions.

  9. Hello @Kurgan, Thank you for reaching out to us. FedEx will attempt to deliver your package three times. After three failed delivery attempts, the package will be returned to us. Once delivered, the package will go through our intake process, and a member of our team will contact you to arrange for a reshipment. Reshipping fees will apply. If you are generally not home during FedEx's normal delivery hours, you can choose to have your package shipped to and held at a local FedEx shipping center. This would be in place of home delivery. To do this, simply provide the FedEx location address as your ship-to address, as in the example shown below. Regarding your reholder submission, the Edge View holder is our standard holder. Are you referring to the AirView holder? The AirView holders are provided at the discretion of the grading team, and while you are welcome to write in a request for these holders on your submission form, the grading will use their discretion to choose the best holder for the coin type. The font used on the label will be adjusted to best accommodate the coin descriptions on the label. If you need additional help with your submission, please provide the submission number. Thank you.
  10. Hello @Brian Dodd, Thank you for contacting us. We cannot evaluate, authenticate or confirm designations with photos of your coins. You would need to submit your coin for evaluation by the NGC grading team. I would like to share that NGC does not attribute as varieties coins that display Strike Doubling, Abrasion Doubling, Die Deterioration Doubling, Master Die Doubling (doubling that is found on all coins made produced from that master die), insignificant die chips, breaks, cracks or any variety coin that falls under mint tolerances for doubling or normal die wear. Additionally, with few exceptions, NGC will not attribute die varieties that require greater than 5x magnification to be clearly recognizable. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  11. Hello @MattGinAZ, I will email you directly to see if I can help you with this issue. Thank you.
  12. Hello @MattGinAZ, Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry you are having issues with the NGC App. I tested the app on my device, and I could not duplicate any issues. All links were working correctly. I suggest checking to see if your app is up to date. If the app does not need an update, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the app. If this does not fix the errors, please share the type of device you are using and send me screenshots of the issues you are experiencing. I will open a ticket with our IT team so that we can investigate the issue further. If there is anything else we can help with, please let us know.
  13. Hello @TNT1024, Thank you for contacting us. We cannot authenticate or confirm error designations with photos of your coins. Submission is required to receive the professional opinion of the NGC grading team. However, I would like to share that coins with significant mechanical and/or environmental damage may not be eligible for grading. A very damaged coin can be difficult or impossible to identify and authenticate. If you submit a very damaged coin deemed ineligible for grading due to the damage, grading fees will still apply for the evaluation. If you would like to have someone take a look at the coin before deciding to submit the coin, you can visit a local coin dealer. NGC Authorized dealers can be found here: NGC | Dealer Locator. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a good day!
  14. Hello @powermad5000, Thank you for reaching out to us. To determine if NCS can improve the appearance of a coin, the NCS conservation team will have to evaluate the coin. Contaminants, artificial toning and substances used to alter the color of a coin can usually be removed. You can view examples of what NCS can and cannot do here: NGC | NCS Conservation. Keep in mind that substances applied to a coin may hide other problems, such as scratches or improper cleaning. These issues may become apparent after NCS removes the artificial toning or applied substances, but NCS’s conservation techniques do not cause them. None of NCS’s techniques will cause scratches or an “Improperly Cleaned” notation at NGC. Regarding a coin with an altered surface, surface alterations can significantly damage the surface of a coin. NCS conservation cannot undo damage to a coin's surface. NCS can safely remove harmful surface contaminants and often dramatically improve a coin’s eye appeal; however, NCS will never perform repairs such as filling holes or smoothing scratches, or doing any type of mechanical alteration. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Thank you.
  15. Hello @JAXDEE6, Thank you for reaching out to us. NGC cannot provide a monetary value for your coins. If you choose to submit, you will need to provide a declared value. The value we ask you for is an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your coin was lost or damaged while with us. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your coin. If your coin is grossly undervalued, we reserve the right to change the grading fee accordingly. You may want to visit a local NGC Authorized dealer to discuss your coins' potential value. You can find dealers here: NGC | Dealer Locator. Once you have determined the declared value for your coins, you will be able to choose a grading tier. 1988 pennies valued up to $3000 can be submitted via the Modern grading tier for a fee of $19.00 per coin. You can view all services and fees here: NGC | Services and Fees. If you have any questions, let us know. Thank you.

  17. Hello @smithgem, Thank you for reaching out to us today. When you download an NGC Submission Form .pdf file, you should see multiple copies of the form. There is also a note on the bottom of each page indicating for whom the forms are intended. Only the accounting copy should contain the credit or debit card number in a viewable format. All other copies black out the information because the other departments do not need to process your payment. The submitter copy is intended for you to keep for your records. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

  21. Hello @Amberdumbie, Thank you for reaching out. If a coin has been stolen, we have processes to report the theft and flag the coin's certification accordingly. 23. Hello @Vess1, Thank you for your question. Our Receiving team is well-trained to recognize issues with the security of our holders and labels. Genuine holders are designed to leave tell-tale signs when cracked open and our labels have key security features to help identify when they are genuine. If there is any indication that the holder or label is not genuine or has been reused, the coin would not be eligible for a reholder. It is also important to note that when a coin is submitted for reholder, while not fully regraded, the coin will still be reviewed by a qualified grader. Collector confidence in NGC certification is a high priority. Our grading works diligently to have processes in place to recognize counterfeit NGC holders and labels and also actively seeks proactively remove them from the marketplace. See the security features of holders and labels here: NGC | Security Center. If you have any other questions, please let us know. Have a good day!
  24. Hello @berlineagle, Thank you for being so patient while I looked into the answer to your question. I have confirmed that we do not currently include details graded Civil War Token data in the NGC census. This has been requested for future development. However, with the system updates that are currently in process, the project must be prioritized for a later date, so it may take some time. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. Regards,
  25. Hello @berlineagle, Thank you for contacting us. I would be happy to look into this issue for you. What is the certification number for your token so I can review what is currently displayed? Thank you!
