  1. have 1804 half cent unc details 6439615-001. Want to trade for 1836 Reeded edge half dollar. For whatever reason, I have 4k in this coin so would like something comparable. Will consider 1815/2 bust half also. worth a try.
  2. i've sent in many coins with repidation. Some came back cleaned, whizzed, color odd, scratches u can't see. My trepidation was that it would come back at a lower grade. The truth hurts if u want to know reality.
  3. Thanks for the opinions. I'll be more critical in my assessment next time.
  4. Looked at grading guidelines and this does NOT qualify as full steps. One would think it is a strong strike and the ding is after striking and not a mint strike failure.
  5. What does ANYONE say? Been alot about grading. thanks MattGinAZ
  6. Bulk submissions: Do coins have to be same denomination? Min 100”\extra forms, how to get or ? Prescreen and Bulk Deals: what happens if grade is not met? Is charge still in effect for those? All must be in same tier (yes).
  7. Thanks for the info. TPGs i have are ANACS ICG NGC NNC qty 1 PCGS PGA SEGS USCG qty 1 Just what I was looking for. thanks again. My problem has been recognizing cleaned coins. Bust halves in particular.
  8. I've got several items that have been graded by a 'third-party grading service other than NGC, NCS or PCGS'. PGA, SEGs et al. Does it make sense to have those regraded by NGC or PCGS? Just trying to see which services' grading are accepted as 'universally equivalent' among the services. thanks
  9. I'm on the Verify NGC Certification screen and it is totally blank except for the left side menu selections. ????
  10. How do i try to update the app?
  11. Thought I had a virus but could not find anything. I just accessed NGC site again. After initial access of the logon screen, the top menu line with submit, about, etc. all showed sub menu options. I logged in and the menu line was not responsive when accessing the menu items. Looks like it has to do with my PC. I guess I need to find out what is going on. Does your IT have any ideas of logs to check oro diags to run? I checked event logs and didn’t really see anything that would be the result of this problem. Thanks John
  12. the NGC app is not working for me. The top menu bar for example only has news and the item to the right of news active. All others do nothing. Looks like the code is missing for the others. Cannot activatre submit to get a new form. I though i might have a virus but other sites are perfectively fine. Could i be hijacked or something? thanks
  13. I have a need (or curiosity) to solicit responses from a numismatic company's customers on their satisfaction and opinions of the products delivered. If I can post here, what category to use? Can I keep my email protected to keep spam, etc. at a minimum? How to do if possible? thanks
  14. I have a need to place a value on slabbed coins. It's a loss value I'm aiming for in that a coin is represented as a specific grade at auction and when slabbed has a different grade and possibly defects such as cleaned, bumps, scratches etc, the usual things that make it result in a non-grade or no MS grade. Will be using in a legal proceeding. Do you recommend I get a valuation via a dealer appraisal service or a more 'legal' differential monetary result for the coins? Use a nationally recognized house such as Heritage, Bowers, etc if they will even touch this situation. I'm running out of time for Statute of Limitations. If I decide to do appraisal myself, should I use Coin Week, green sheet. PCGS or NGS coin values or ...
  15. when do u use variety? I do bust halves and they use overton, overstrikes, over dates, etc. I'd like to see attrition on the coin description.
