  1. Hello @Erin33, If you are looking to grade in a standard holder and do not need any of the add-on options, choose no service in the second column. You must have the grading tier chosen in the first column, as shown below. By default, GSA coins will be graded in their mint capsules and provided a wrap-around label displaying the grade. GSA coins can be removed and placed in NGC holders, if a written signed request is included with the submission. You can see an example of the wrap-around label used for GSA coins here: https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-grading/holders/gsa/. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  2. Hello @silvervet, Thank you for reaching out to us. Each of these 2017 1SOV types is listed according to the designations the coin qualified and received on the label. NGC offers several special designations to recognize coins received for certification within a specified timeframe or at a particular event. There are also designations related to the coin design, such as the reeded edge. In the case of the 2017 Platinum Wedding Anniv. R. Edge-FR-Struck on Day, FR would reference that the coin is "first release". You can learn more about these timeframe/event-related designations here: https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-grading/designations/. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  3. Hello @dolfinwriter, Thank you for reaching out to us. This label was made custom for a dealer. NGC Authorized dealers may request the design and printing of custom labels (for a fee). These are limited printings available only to the requesting dealer. Unfortunately, I do not have any additional information on the occasion for which this was designed. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  4. Hello @Gileshokie, Thank you for reaching out to us. US 5C varieties / RPMs that are not listed in the VarietyPlus resource online generally will not be attributed. When submitting a coin that had been graded by another company and given an attribution that NGC does not recognize, the coin will lose this attribution when re-graded with NGC. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  5. Hello @Erin33 Thank you for reaching out to us. For help with abbreviations in the census/price guide, you can check our list and description of strike characters here: https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/5256. The MSRDP in the census refers to the following: You can learn a little about how to recognize proof-like coins here: https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/6633/learn-grading-deep-prooflike/. We encourage you to be conservative when estimating the value of your coin, as there is no benefit to overvaluing your coin. If you undervalue your coin, the coin's grading fee will be bumped to the appropriate tier fee. The information provided by the price guide is received from a third party using collected sales data and it may not display pricing information for all attributions due to limited sales data. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  6. Hello @MTinis, I spoke with the grading team and the label change is being processed as a paid reholder because FS-902 was not available at the time the coin was originally graded so it is not a label correction due to error, but an update. I also confirmed with the team that we would attribute FS-902, and they have since added it to the online VarietyPlus resource. https://www.ngccoin.com/variety-plus/united-states/quarters/washington-quarters-1932-1998/?page=2 FS-503 remains a variety that we do not currently attribute. I hope this clarifies my previous response. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  7. Hello @Donnie Camerer Thank you for reaching out to us. If the grading team determines that the coin has been undervalued and should have been submitted in a higher grading tier the grading fee will be bumped to the appropriate tier and the additional fee may be processed anytime between grading and shipping. Generally, this is determined while the coins are at the grading desk and you will receive an email notifying you of the fee bump. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  8. Hello @Hend, Thank you for reaching out to us. NGC does not offer services to appraise the value of coins, nor do we buy or sell coins. Good resources for determining the value of your coins are completed eBay auctions and the posted prices by large coin dealers. We do have a coin price guide on our website, which might offer some information. These prices come to us from a third party and are based on current auction pricing: US Price Guide or World Price Guide. These price guides may not be all-inclusive, and any missing information is generally due to a lack of available sales data. If you are interested in submitting your coins and looking to determine their value to complete your submission, keep in mind that the value we ask you for is an insurance value. This should be a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your coin was lost or damaged while with us. We encourage you to be conservative, as we do not reimburse you if you overvalue your coin. If your coin was grossly undervalued, we reserve the right to bump it to the appropriate tier fee. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  9. Hello @MTinis, Thank you for reaching out to us. I apologize that we have not replied sooner. The grading team has confirmed that they will be able to process the label change as a reholder. The reholder service fee of $13.00 will apply for coins valued up to $10,000. Thank you for your patience. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  10. Hello @Erin33, Thank you for reaching out to us. The declared value can be thought of as an insurance value, a number you would feel comfortable with in terms of a replacement value if your coin was lost or damaged while with us. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your coin. If your coin was grossly under-valued, we reserve the right to bump it to the appropriate tier. We do have a coin price guide on our website, which may offer some information: https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/united-states/. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

  12. Hello @jgrinz, Thank you for reaching out to us. I am not able to confirm eligibility or identify coins with photos. An in-hand evaluation would be required. You can learn more about how to submit your coins here: https://www.ngccoin.com/submit/how-to-submit/ If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  13. Hello @Erin33, Thank you for reaching out to us. You would place the face value of the coin under the denomination. We encourage you to be conservative as we do not reimburse you if you over-value your coin. If your coin was grossly under-valued, we reserve the right to bump it to the appropriate tier. 14. Hello @EagleRJO, Thank you for contacting us. I do not have any information indicating any upcoming plans to add images to Coin Explorer. However, I would be happy to share this suggestion with our management team. If we can help with anything else, please let us know.
  15. Hello @Iman Firdaus, Once your submission has been updated to a shipped status, you can view the grades under submission tracking: https://www.ngccoin.com/account/my-submissions/tracking/. The submission number will update to a clickable link that will display the grading details of your coins. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  16. Hello @Silverjaxx, Thank you for being so patient. Please check your email; I have provided information about how to submit your coin via email. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  17. Hello @cpfirme3, Thank you for reaching out to us. Bulk submissions require a minimum of 100 of the same coin type and denomination, and you can request VarietyPlus service for $18.00 per coin. For Bulk tier submissions, coins requesting VarietyPlus should not be submitted on the same form as coins requesting Mint Error. https://www.ngccoin.com/about/help-center-faqs/submitting-to-ngc/prescreen-and-bulk-submissions/ If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  18. Hello @cpfirme3, Thank you for reaching out to us. If you select VarietyPlus service, the fee is charged for the evaluation regardless of the outcome. I suggest reviewing the VariertyPlus resource online to check if NGC recognizes your coin's variety: NGC Coins | VarietyPlus. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  19. Hello @Anthony J McGlone, Please check your email for your tracking number. Thank you for reaching out to us and have a great day!
  20. Hello @Erin33, Thank you for reaching out to us. Good question. The Mint Error service ($18.00 per coin) will examine your coins for mint errors and provide an error attribution if the coins qualify. If you do not choose this service, your coins will not receive mint error attribution, even if they would otherwise qualify. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  21. Hello @Erin33, Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not grade coins that have been colorized or altered by a third party. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
  22. Hello @Tonyqt, Thank you for reaching out to us. If the exact date cannot be determined for any reason, the coin is not eligible for grading. Unfortunately, coins with heavy wear or damage may not be able to be properly dated. The final determination as to whether a coin will qualify for grading is at the discretion of the graders. If you have any questions, please let us know.
