Who better to ask than an alleged, one-time King of the Trolls? Me.

From my perspective, you are exexactly the type of member the Forum opens its arms wide to welcome into the fold.  I like your exuberance and I believe you will do well here.

I have never experienced the honor accorded some distinguished members here, who were banished from chit-chat coin boards elsewhere, but get a big kick seeing a dollar sign posted on one site--a virtual open invitation offering to pay ME for my comments.  :roflmao:

I'm not a troll. But i am simple in my childlike exuberance towards the coins i find, and my wanting to share the images of said coins. That's really where all this ends for me. That's really what all any of this was about for me, especially over on CT. My daily finds thread there had 140+ pages! 70+thousand views! It was loved by all. Oh well. I'm over here now, and whether anyone is looking, or not, is really zero concern to me. I should have started posting back in March, when i got banned, but I'm lazy.

I would too but knowing me as well as I do, I would knowingly post something I knew someone down the line would suspect is far more valuable though not generally known and our quiet but erudite lurker would "go back to the videotape," cry foul! And while some members would be amused, the mods would not, and I would plea my case, plaintively with seeming credibility until yet another member with stunning institutional memory, provides conclusive proof that Quintus knew, or should have known, his nothingburger was a somethingburger with super large fries and a large soda. So I am going to disappoint my many detractors and abstain from making a contribution. I love ❤️ the column though and read it avidly. Just what's needed during a hot and humid August.  (thumbsu

Glad you're enjoying. That's really the point of all this, isn't it? To be enjoyed?

You use big words! It's fun!

My version is made from scratch. Poison Ivy, you know. :roflmao: You can get jollies from that “Stander” if that’s your thing. It goes in the junk box for me. Silk purse, sow’s ear syndrome.

"Get jollies", that's awesome! Heck yeah I'll get my jollies off of face value silver. I paid exactly 25 cents for that, in cents, if you can imagine. But you would keep it, right? I'll attempt to use a "sow's ear" type of comment, "simple minds, simple pleasures". And there ain't nones much more simpler, than mines! You're full of cool old tymey type of sayings! I got "nothingburger" from you, now i got that cool "sow's ear" one. I don't know what it means, but it sounds cool, but "get jollies", that's my favorite. I'm literally going to use it every day. I also basically use "nothingburger" 5 days a week here, so again, i owe you a debt of gratitude that this humble man, shall never be able to repay. Especially with your incredibly hard to please tastes. I can't imagine not getting excited over any wild silver find! Anyway, i wander, ramble. This simple mind is hard to coral. It likes to drift.... where was i? Oh yes, the secrets of the universe! Right here!

Thanks again for stopping by, means the world to me.

Yea I’m working as usual. Not sure what blob you are referring to. Looks like a 28 to me.

I agree with the 28 assessment, but i thought the mint mark on these was to the left of the date, but to the right of that bottom left star. Looked like a blob to my novice eye. I will clean a little more tomorrow, and see what we can see. Stay safe at work

What do you think @Lem E, i need your eyes. Is that a little blob there? Or, if you can believe this, have i found a double 1928 in the wild, cuz i have one in my book, already. Nuts. Not working tonight? Thanks.

Viola: stringed musical instrument, shaped like a violin, but slightly larger.

Voila: an expression meaning, " there it is!"

Walla: half of the name of a city in Washington.

I had this whole big thing typed out, and when i hit reply, it didn't post it, and the whole thing disappeared. I ain't writing all that out, again. Oh well.

Yes! Like at the carnival when you finally get to see the bearded lady, Walla! And I'm not sure what a musical instrument has to do with a rooster, but I'm glad you're enjoying the thread! You'll never learn anything here, but I'll post up some shiny stuff, every now and then. And @Quintus Arrius, thank you for stopping by. Means a lot. Have a great weekend.

@Quintus Arrius, I'm trying to get ahead of a possible issue, so I'm apologizing in advance, just in case I offended anyone with the "bearded lady" comment. I didn't mean to offend, any ladies, bearded people, people not sure if they're bearded, or ladies, people who can't grow beards, women who want to grow beards, and the entire population, in general. For everything. I apologize for everything to everyone. Whew. Thanks for hanging in there with me, on that one.

No it is a silver proof.

It's funny, I'm allowed to call myself a dope, but i tried to call myself something that rhymes with boron, and it auto fills with something silly. Where are the lines drawn?! Lol. I wonder how long till I'm banned here too?

Found this, too. My 6th, i believe. To clean, or not to clean. That is what I'm asking. Too late. Already in the bleach bath. I like a combination of bleach, vinegar, and coarse sand, mixed into a paste, and rubbed on thick. Let it sit in an enclosed space. Rinse, and walla! Just like new!

we'll see what this one looks like, tomorrow. I'll give you the "afters", then.
