Gaius Messius Quintus Traianus Decius (c. 201 AD – June 251 AD), sometimes translated as Trajan Decius or Decius, was the emperor of the Roman Empire from 249 to 251.A distinguished politician during the reign of Philip the Arab, Decius was proclaimed emperor by his troops after putting down a rebellion in Moesia. In 249, he defeated and killed Philip near Verona and was recognized as emperor by the Senate afterwards. In the last year of his reign, Decius co-ruled with his son Herennius Etruscus, until they were both killed by the Goths in the Battle of Abritus. Here are a few from my collection. Please feel free to post your Trajan Decius coins.

Lucius SeptimiusSeverus was a Roman Emperor from 193 to 211. He was born in Leptis Magna (present-day Al-Khums, Libya) in the Roman province of Africa. As a young man he advanced through the customary succession of offices under the reigns of Marcus Aurelius and Commodus. Severus seized power after the death of the emperor Pertinax in 193 during the Year of the Five Emperors.Roman emperor Reign 9 April 193 –4 February 211[1]Predecessor Didius JulianusSuccessors Caracalla and GetaCo-emperors Caracalla (198–211) Geta (209–211) Born Lucius Septimius Severus[2]11 April 145[3]Leptis Magna, AfricaDied 4 February 211 (aged 65)[4]Eboracum, BritainSpouse Paccia Marciana (m. c. 175; died c. 186) Julia Domna (m. 187) Issue Caracalla and GetaRegnal nameImperator Caesar Lucius Septimius Severus Pertinax Augustus[5]Dynasty SeveranFather Publius Septimius GetaMother Fulvia PiaHere is a newly acquired Septimius Severus from my collection. It's neat to see the coins design in different metals. Sometimes the copper strikes look better than the silver, depends on the coin/round. I dont mind collecting them here and there as a novelty.

I sometimes buy copper rounds when I like the design or they have a matching silver coin. It's kinda cool when you have matching pairs of coins you like.
