  1. Hey buddy. Hopefully you forgive my odd sense of humor. That is a cool looking situation there but as mentioned nothing of value.
What’s important is your interest in coins and I really want to welcome you and say keep looking and search eBay for numismatic literature. I’m always surprised by how a specific request gets me results. And there is you tube and such. I’m just too old to tweet or post on Facebook or some other sight. Might be good for you though.
Lastly I was told to collect what I liked and what made me happy and I would find enjoyment for a long time and not regret any coin I liked enough to purchase. Enjoy 😁🦫🙀😸😻

One interesting fact about Dan Carr is that, whether you call his coins reproductions or counterfeits, is that he is allowed to sell them on eBay. Anyone else would have the listings removed as it is against eBay policy to sell counterfeits or reproductions.

You don’t say. Seems they do allow overstrikes.

If spot prices drop a little more as our economy continues to tank (LGB), I might add the following two coins to my collection. Mostly because I really like the way they look, and not so much as an "investment". Particularly the gold half eagle with the incuse design, which I have been eyeing for a while but haven't purchased yet.

However they are gold with the value somewhat tied to the spot price of that lovely metal and which if purchased at the right time could be considered a precious metals "quasi-investment". Okay, I made that last term up, but those coins are really shiny. 😜

And I have a good feeling about the prospects of where things are headed with this planned purchase because my fortune from a Chinese order the other night was ... " good luck is the result of good planning". 😀

Shiny as in possibly cleaned?  Because they are shiny 😁

  4. I feel like I should apologize for having an enrollment.  I received notice yesterday that my 2 are processing.
I agree ,  it’s frustrating to jump through hoops. The enrollment does open up every once in a while. I worked and worked to get everything I might want on enrollment. I can change quantity up to a few days before release.
The advance release started just a couple years ago. I don’t know what the big boys did. I’ve heard buyers club kinda sweat shop style.
      Good luck this morning. 😉🦫🙀

  5. Their hair is on fire over on pcgs forum.  One after another with problems. One of the regular folks said they have personally seen almost 100 privy’s and they are not looking good.
I got a rather magnificent one but had to clean the coin and capsule with air to remove lint and odd crumbs.
They are available right now and have been up all dang day on the mint website.  😉🙀🦫

  6. Yes Hog. That’s army p-38 but not sure if that’s it’s USMC designation.
Used to carry one on my keys, nick and cuts aside,( I used to drink and forget the blade was out)  I found it mighty handy. Grandpa and pop both Navy. My personal respect for the Marines is very high. 😉🙀🦫
